A group of four guys will be in Vegas the 18-21 of March for March Madness. Any suggestions for a good sports book? We are staying a Club 36 (Bluegreen Condos) about a mile east of the MGM Grand.
Best sports book for March Madness?

Everytime i'm in Vegas I like to spend time in the CP and Bellagio sports books. For March Madness i'm sure both will be awesome...and awesomely packed as well.

I'm going to try to get in there for MM...I really don't want to have to get to the sports books every day at 7am just to get a seat!Originally posted by ChappStick View PostI am a big fan of Lagasse's Stadium at the Palazzo place is bad ass and the food is bomb.
What time can you place bets...I wouldn't mind getting up early to do it, then go back to bed...5 days til AOD Invasion May 19-24! Palms Place Baby!

You can place bets the night before or when the book opens in the morning. I will most likely be doing the same thing! I read this thread on trip advisor earlier...Originally posted by partyinvegas25 View PostI'm going to try to get in there for MM...I really don't want to have to get to the sports books every day at 7am just to get a seat!

Semi, wherever you go will be packed and be prepared to get there at 7 am at the latest to get a seat. If you make bets on the game you'll getr drink tickets. Try for Bellagio or MGM grand. Both good spots.
Party, the lines will be up the night before so you can get some action down before you go to bed. Otherwise you can bet early in the morning

Actually yea March Madness is usually packed. The Station Casinos also have great sports books and they open up ballrooms - Try Green Valley Ranch or Red Rock Casino - talk to the Concierge. They can hook you up or find out what's open. The Strip - usually Ceasar's is packed. But Bally's, Paris, Mandalay usually throw up another ballroom. Plus there's usually a lot of happy hour specials.

I like two books for March Madness:Caesars Palace and MGM.The Caesars Palace has six huge overhead screens, and they have added plasma screens everywhere you look.At the MGM there is no shortage of places to catch the games because of three big screens and 47 plasmas.Genius is an immense capacity for taking trouble

Lagasse's is like the perfect sportsbook/sports viewing location, once you experience it for the first time everything else will pretty much be rendered obsolete. It's located one floor below the lobby/registration desk at the Palazzo where Jay Z's 40/40 club used to be. I've been there for most of the World Cup games as well as UFC 116 and the atmosphere is always fantastic. There are over 100 tvs set up around the entire complex including a monster jumbo plasma in the stadium seating area. The place is so well-designed...I could probably be standing literally anywhere within the floorspace and have a direct line of sight on at least 1 or 2 tv sets.
There is stadium seating on leather chairs which is awesome, bar seating, sky boxes, lounge areas, table seating downstairs, outdoor patio areas with tvs, pool tables and couches, and luxury boxes as well (although a small negative on the luxury boxes is that you are kind of secluded from everything/everyone else and therefore miss out on the atmosphere a bit, which imo is one of the best things about Lagasse's). There is also standing space so if you just want to drop in and check out a UFC event for free with other rowdy fans then you can do that as well. It usually gets packed for UFC events though so if you're not already inside about 30-45 minutes before the main event then you face the possibility of not being able to get in once the capacity is maxed out.
Food is also great, everything I've tried on the menu thus far has been awesome and the servings are gigantic. As you can tell, I'm a pretty big fan of the place. I fear that unless I'm there in person and have front row seats, every sporting event I view outside Lagasse's in the future will be a massive letdown.
Oh, and for all the MMA heads, they sometimes get a fighter to come through and hang out/make an appearance on fight nights. Josh Koscheck was there on Saturday for UFC 116 and he's actually pretty cool/chill, he was just hanging out in the open, signing autographs, taking pics, talking with fans, etc.Chillin's #1 fan
