I wanna hear what you have to say about your job and what makes it fun and what makes it a pain in your flippin ass, funny stories, horror stories, nautay stories, sad stories.... My Life as a LV..... photographer

Lets start w/ nightlife photography. Its mostly always fun get into all clubs free head of the line pass. My camera and card cant leave home w/o it. the best part for me is being in the vip withcelebs just choppin it up (i never drink on he job). Ive only had 1 bad experience the club will remain namelss. They refuse to let me after me coming was already set up.i made phone calls to three ppl at the club i kno. They made calls telling the guys at the door to let me in and the still refused. so the next moght at a different club i met a guy that worked at the door told him what and he gave a card for the club that pretty much say i get in when want free even if im not shooting. (THATS PIMP TYTE)

Now my dayjob. shooting models and records artist, bldgs, products. thats what i live for thats when i really get to have some fone and make the good $$$. (only part that sux is when pp; show up hella late or just flake)

Ok so here is my story...

I have ventured into; promotions, waiter at high end restaurants, busser at a nightclub, operating a concierge/special events company.

BUT,

From what Chapp said, this is about the good, the bad and yes sometimes the ugly of my jobs!

So lets see...

Waiter - The fun part is meeting people from ALL OVER THE WORLD! Honestly, you never know who will be at your table...The owner of the a grocery store chain or some random movie store or even just a awesome group of people just looking to have a good time. Especially when you have regulars who are respectable successful individuals and you they start knowing you by name, next thing you know your like there best friend, haha it get's funny at times.

On the downside - only thing I have to say is, I DON'T COOK THE FOOD OR ROLL THE SUSHI OR MOST OF THE TIME I DON'T EVEN DROP THE FOOD OFF...so if your order is messed up or not to your liking, don't but on a drama show with me because well lets just say when you do that I make sure I bring the food to your table with a little special ingredient! Just joking! I would never do that but, honestly don't get upset with me, I get it fixed, just be cool and I will take care of you!

Nightclub busser - Fun part - Seeing things that you could never imagine seeing (sometimes wishing you haven't) - Access to many many drinks - Being in a fun environment.

Ugly side - Ok I am guilty of it too and yes its part of the "job" but, man do I hate wiping up spills on the ground from drunk people! Its like probably the thing I do most, spill after spill after spill! So next time you see a busser, show some love!

And one thing you don't do! Is pick up a bucket of ice and throw it at me! I will get you kicked out! haha! I had that happen to me once. This guy started by just picking on or two pieces of ice and throwing them at his friends (which is cool but, I still have to clean it up) and then he decides to pick the bucket up and throw it...So here I am about 3 tables away and I didn't get hit by the bucket but, a shower of cold, hard ice hit me in the face....ya lets just say, he wont be coming back anytime soon haha

As far as promotions/concierge/events - fun part is the same as a waiter meet a lot of people, have a great time and making money while you do it!

My only downside is when people don't follow through with what they say...now days you seem to have to have everything in writing!

But hey, that's life...
