Cleveland Newbie

Hey Everyone,

Been lurking on the site for a little while and getting very antsy to head to Vegas March 8-11 (Monday-Thursday)!! I am going with my gf and we are both club novices, but really want to do it right in Vegas. We went to school in Madison, and have lived in Cleveland since, two cities that aren't rich in good clubs. We both made our first Vegas trip last February for my brother's hastily planned wedding, but did not have a chance to hit up anywhere besides the Little White Wedding Chapel and gambling, at least that I can remember...

So, what places are good on Tuesday?? just kidding

Having looked around the site and forums for a while, I think our itin will be:

Mon-XS
Tues-Palms
Wed-Wasted Space

We obviously are not getting any table service, but I do have a couple of questions that I couldn't track down on the site.

For Monday, we are seeing Beatles Love and won't be out of there until 11. We wanted to possibly get a drink at Revolution Lounge after the show (I think they give you 2 for 1 drink coupons at the show). I have read that the lines get pretty bad at XS, especially when we may be heading over at midnight or so. Do the long lines also apply for Monday nights as well? Would we be better off just skipping Revolution and going straight to XS a little after 11?

On Tues, I think I am pretty clear on the guestlist/all access situation at Palms. I will get my gf on the guestlist and I will get the 20 dollar all access pass from the N9ne website.

Wednesday we are pumped for the all you can drink at WS

If there is anyone in town earlier in the week for the March 12-14 event, we would be down meeting up. Any other suggestions for some Vegas beginners would be greatly appreciated!

I think the consensus was that Revolution is a pretty nice lounge, with a really nice atmosphere.

I personally would skip XS on Monday and go to JET which is at the Mirage (same place as Love and Revolution). Monday is generally more of a locals night, but it's a lot of fun and I've never had a bad time there. It's not a ritzy as XS, but could possibly be a better value for you.

Just contact the hosts listed on the site and you'll be golden either way I think.

Thanks for the suggestion Aria. Is there anything in particular about XS Mondays that turn you off?

I will definitely think about Jet. Any chance to spend more time at the Mirage is a plus...really enjoyed hanging out there for a little while last year. How likely are we to stumble on some free/reduced cover passes walking around/gambling at the Mirage pre or post show?

Welcome!!! First off i don't think they sell the passes for during the week for the palms.... I think their Fri/Sat only.

Thanks for the welcome. I was looking at the options through wanttickets and I found this pass for Tuesday to get into all three clubs for $20. I think its different than the wristbands that people usually get on weekends but I'm not sure. Is this a solid deal for me? Gf can just get on the guestlist and that takes care of cover for her right?

Any other tips would be greatly appreciated!

I loved XS on a monday (not been any other night to compare it though!) Jet was very crowded with lots of random lines and we couldn't be bothered hanging around. We'd been given free entry coupons for XS on a monday so we headed over there about 10.30 - no line for us with coupons and both got in free with the passes. I think we pretended we were on the guest list...I can't remember. you'll have to check my TR for details.
We're just arriving on the weds, but keen to hit up wasted space with the JC crew, so probably see you there!

Yeah I think we are leaning towards XS for Monday. It would be nice to have that wow factor on our first night there, and from what I have heard and read, it definitely has that. Do you remember how you came across the free passes? I couldn't track it down in your (amazing) TR. I needed a cigarette after reading it and I don't even smoke...

lol, yeah I didn't include it in my TR as these guys would have shot me down for being an idiot, but in the end it worked out fine! There's a couple of guys who hang out on the strip and have the free entry/discount entry cards for all the clubs. They chat to you, give you advice, give you the cards and ask for a tip at the end. Being cheap ass brits we tipped him about $10 and used the cards for blush, XS and possibly tryst, I can't remember...
BUT if you're walking by the casinos at night there tends to be someone offering them out from the club itself. We didn't see them for every club on every night, so it can be worth getting them from those guys.

Glad you liked the TR - we had fun When I wrote it I didn't expect to be hanging around on here so much, and now I'm actually meeting some of the JCers...EEEEeeeK!

Hopefully I can track down some of those free passes during the day. I'll be casino-hopping while the gf lays by the pool (please be warm out). Damn it..why can't it be March already!!!
