2 maybe 3 guys clubbing

Hey Guys,

I have been lurking for a while and finally decided to introduce myself and ask a question.

I'm heading out to Vegas march 18-21 (Thurs-Sun). Im gonna be with 3 guys and only one, maybe 2 will go out to clubs at night with me. What is the best way to get in? I want to check out Vanity, XS, and probably do the Rain wristband on Sat.

Should I try and grease the bouncers? Contact a host and tip him? Bottle service seems to be out of the question.

i almost always go at the end of Feb, and so can't speak for march BUT except for Sat night i never have a wait. also being a guy alone or with 1 other helps. one trick i use is to go palces early with the normaly worthless "VIP passes" you can get anywhere (for god sakes dont pay for them) ask the desk at your hotel, look around casinos of clubs you want to go to, or ask at stores (real stores at the malls, not street bendagos). go early, get your hand staped or wristbanded or whatever they do for reentry, go eat or whatever and just walk on in later. i never have any problems with lines at the clubs you mentioned. last resort find a group of girls clearly walking to the club. say you will pay their cover if you can walk in with them. a) hot chicks dont pay covers b) you will look like pimp of the year walking in with a group of girls

I'll be going in mid-May and don't really feel like waiting an hour to get in nor do I want to grease the goons at the door. I think I'm going to get there early. So my question is this: Do people actually line up early (before the club opens) to get in at the clubs??

Also, Caden mentioned passes. I see some on sale at Ebay for cheap prices. Do those really work?

The Palms wristbands work and are probably the best method for club entry on a Saturday considering your guy to (lack of) girl ratio. Greasing likely won't be necessary with the wristbands. I picked mine up around 12pm on a Friday for entry later that night. My wife I bypassed any an all lines. The only wait was for the elevators for Ghostbar, Playboy/Moon. There are a ton of threads on here about the Palms wristband deal.

And yes, people do line up early. As an example, my wife and I went to Tao on a Saturday night. We ate dinner at the Tao restaurant to help guarantee free cover to the club. After getting on the guest list from the contacts on this site, we were the first two into the club. Basically a double bonus. The line started around 8:30pm and was about 50 people deep when we got in line at 9:15pm. The door guys were actually pretty cool.

There might be people there at 7 PM but you're going to be waiting around for a long time to actually have fun, unless the club is actually open for business at that time. In between 10 and 10:30 is usually perfect unless there is a special event, then it might not even matter what time you're there.

Contrary to popular advice, passes aren't a bad thing to buy. I purchased passes from Vegas Passport through Expedia when I booked last year and they were worth it for the most part. For $120 I had no line/no cover passes to a plethora of clubs and lounges. I actually picked up the passes from a kiosk at the airport. The doormen at the clubs I went to honored them without hesitation. At one point I tipped a stressed out bouncer $5 along with my pass and he almost threw me into a packed club. At Tao, there seemed to be thousands of people in line, but with a pass, a bouncer type person guided my friend and I to a fast moving line. We waited no longer than 12 minutes. Just make sure that you buy from a legitimate source and that they include cover if you're going to be shelling out a good amount of money for them.

The most important thing is attitude. Being cheerful and friendly will most likely be met with professionalism. Sure, the doormen and staff see millions of people a month and might not care less about any of them personally, but they actually want people in their establishment...people like you who will pay for drinks. Just dress nice, smile, and you won't have a problem.

Oh, and I'll be down there the weekend you're there so hit me up if you want to pre-game at some point. Have fun!!!

Regarding the 12min line at Tao: Was it just to right when you come escalator up against the half wall? You can look over the half wall and see everyone coming up the escalators?

I have never really seen the Vegas passport things discussed here. I have also purchased the passes from vegas passports and they do work well. At least they get you in the "vip" line and into the club without cover quickly ;however they are a waste if you are planning bottle service. They even worked with groups of guys and that was pretty cool!

Dnix, I don't remember too well as it was a year ago, but I remember getting off the escalator, and seeing a massive queue. I approached a doorman/bouncer/host type guy with a suit and an earpiece directly right of the line. The line he directed us to seemed to be in between a couple of other winding lines. I do remember turning around and seeing a ton more people come up the escalator though. Maybe getting there a little before 10 would help. I remember when I got in how incredibly packed it was right away. We went up to the outdoor Tao beach area for some air but leaving was even more of a hassle two hours later as the club was even more packed. At first I dreaded getting in, but it was tougher to get out, lol.

well what i did was go in, have one drink and then have the bouncer at the door stamp my hand. then LATER would come back and he would just wave me through. of course it was dead. thats kinda the point.

If you are going with just guys get there early and make sure you are on a list. (XS does not do guest list on saturdays) Grabbing girls out of line will help you out [B]A LOt[B]

But whatever you do, DO NOT buy passes.... they pay promoters to give them to you for free or get you into the nightclubs for free or reduced cover and if you have girls with you sometimes the promoters will give you drink tickets if the girls are hot enough. Also if you find a good promoter stay with them they will take car of you for your entire trip and help you out with anyother club you want to go to for the rest of your trip.
