  • SoCal relocation?

Hey all. I know a lot of people on the Jack Colton forums are from Southern California. I am currently in Columbus, Ohio but have a job interview in a few weeks in Corona. Just wanted see if anyone could share their thoughts on the area. Nice place to live? Good for kids/schools?

I know its just east of Orange and about 45 min SE of LA, but other than that????

One thing I do know is it would definitely be an upgrade in weather...its 10 degrees here this morning.

my wife is from corona and we go back often. its a nice area close drive to OC beach cities, not much of a restaurant or nightlife scene, great golfing, bout an hour from LA, 10-15 min from ontario airport which is a great airport. the member socal can probably give you advice on the schools, we have a bunch of friends there some of whom are teachers and I can tell you that from what they say the schools are good as well as the little league etc. hope this helps a little.
it's that time again, let's get #28 gentleman....for the boss

Hey whats up! You probably want to talk to Socal_Girl on here, since shes a resident of Corona. I have a condo out in Orange and it pretty much is where things happen. You get to miss the traffic and congestion of LA being in Orange, but you are still about 30mins away from all those things. Corona is definitely you will be out in your own world. It will take you about 1 hour + on traffic days to get to things that are worth while doing. You do get the socal living life style, but lacks the perks of instant entertainment like the coastal towns. Cost of living of course is much more reasonable as well.

Congrats on the job interview. Which company is it with? I use to work with the Corona Chamber of Commerce so I know most of the companies in town.

I love Corona I have lived here most of my life. It has grown a lot yet it still has a hometown feel. Like NYC said the schools are great. The city has lots of things for kids to do. Fender Guitar has a museum here where they will give kids free music lessons. Not sure what information you are looking for so feel free to ask anything.
Dear Captain Morgan.....I've seen the pics we need to talk!

Probably a shorter drive to the beach than from Columbus. Just guessing, havn't done the math.

I would say its around 30 to 40 minutes to get to the beach. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING depends on traffic around here. My family and I go to Disneyland about 3 times a month and we always time it so we don't hit traffic if possible.

+1... its rolling the dice with traffic. Sometimes its random, but 90% of the time its between the times of 7-9AM, and 3-6PM.

Check with SoCal, but I'm pretty sure you need a lifted truck and a flat bill hat to even be considered for admission into the neighborhood.

Flatbiller.com will give you plenty of examples to emulate.

Look at these high and mighty Orange County/Los Angeles members here. Most importantly I am closer to Vegas than you two. And for the record I am a 951 baby!

And wasn't it your part of town that started all of the "bro hoe" style anyways? Give a few celebs a free hat and the state goes to crap.
