Solo for Super Bowl weekend???

What's happening forum... a big thank you to all the contributors to this great site.

I finally decide to come out of lurk-dom because I have a dilemma, and it ocurred to me that who better to answer a Vegas question than the real experts...

I have a couple free nights at the Palms (apparently I play too much blackjack ), but the offer expires mid-march.
Now, I think the best use I can give those nights is for Super Bowl weekend, right? Unfortunately, none of my friends back home (Mexico) can make it in any of these months... so basically I'm contemplating going by myself, cause I certainly don't want to waste a free stay. It's one of the few times we can get back at the casinos, right?

So, the question is this... is it really worth it going by myself? How recommended is it? I suppose some people here may have tried it, right? Is Super Bowl weekend really that crazy?

Welcome to the forums. I went to Vegas by myself back in November and had a pretty good time. It's always better with other people, though. The good news is that if you go on SB weekend, you won't be flying solo. There's hella forum members going that weekend. Check out this thread.

Go for it, I've gone solo 4 times myself and never regreted it. You can go and do what you want, when you want. It's great!

I'd have no problem with going solo. It's a diff kind of adventure.

I guess it also depends on how good you are at befriending strangers.

I havent had an entire trip solo before, but the best time i ever had in Vegas was the night i went out by myself, so there is something to say for being on your own. I wouldnt not go because you dont have anyone to go with. It is always an adventure.

I've been checking the new years TR's... sounds like everybody had a lot of fun in spite of just meeting each other on that trip!

I suppose there's no harm in trying the solo thing... I might even get to know a few of you!! And maybe share some of those great times.

All right, so I'm going to use the free nights... and since its just going to be me, is there anybody else interested in free accomodations in the Palms that weekend?? I imagine I might as well put the extra bed to use and help some forum member...

First it starts as a social thing. Only around friends, special occasions. Then you start hanging around people who do it all the time. Next, you're telling your boss you've got yet another dead grandmother. Sneaking off on weekends to go AOD.

oh........thats how I met irock and nassau. what sucks, is now every time I make reference to a friend I get asked every time if Ive actually met that person before.

Example:
Me: I have a friend thats a hooker in Reno.......
S/O: wait...have you actually met this hooker or she some "JC i-net friend"?????
