THE Hotel for Bachelor Party

Setting up our Vegas bachelor party... as a real best man should. We're going Memorial Day weekend... 5/28-5/31.

I just booked two of The Suites at the hotel.
Has anyone stayed in these rooms? How are they?
Have they become dated? Are they nice? Will my group be happy?

I would say I got a good deal through my player's club.
Under $400 for each room total for three nights... Not bad for Memorial Day weekend, right?

Any other ideas or options?

I have stayed at Mandalay... Loved the hotel / casino... just didn't care for the location. Then again, it was too cold for the pool.

Stayed there, loved it.
I enjoy the location, I have no problem taking cabs, the pools are nice and it is nice to come home to a quiet hotel after a night out.

How many guys are going?

The rooms are really nice, plenty of room and if you get connecting rooms you will have a ton of space

I did ask for connecting rooms... but i'm still hoping for an upgrade at check in... or a high floor with a view.

There will be five guys in those two rooms.

I just wonder if I can grab something nicer / newer / hipper at maybe Aria or somewhere else.

But I'm not sure If I can beat the price.

Well from what I understand most of the upgrades there are going to be 1 king bed (what I was told when I sandwiched) so we just ended up with a bunch of other perks and a nice floor.

5 guys will be in good shape, its setup as basically a bedroom with a totally separate living room, bathroom in each room, tv in each room. Couch isnt bad to sleep on either if you dont get a rollaway or if you get bumped out of the room.

I would be happy with a nice floor / view along with some free passes to mixx and a few other perks.

i stayed at the hotel the rooms are nice they have separate living room and bedroom that closes by a door also has two bathrooms which is a plus the only thing its at the end of the strip which you either have to walk a lot to other places or take a cab everywhere when i went i did not go to pool but it looked it nice but you got a good price

Stayed there the first yr open loved it. Took us 2 hr's to discover the second restroom. LOL. Will be staying again this weekend and will notify you of present condition of rm's. I think the best upgrade is something w/ a view as each rm is already a suite. An FYI it's a quite hotel not sure how forgiving management might be for loud groups.

I have stayed at THE Hotel/Mandalay probably 8 or 9 times. I love the rooms and suites there. Everything is in good shape and on the rare chance that there is an issue, they take great care of you.

Dining options are pretty good at Mandalay. But, It has to be one of the most boring casinos around. It's kind of sterile and never seems to be all that busy. The pool is nice, and I'm sure that it will be more crowded than usual on Memorial Day with partiers.

Like others mentioned, the south strip location is kind of a pain, but it is EASY to get cabs.

Bottom line, if you want a nice room and to be close to a non-stop party, then Mandalay probably isn't the spot. If you want a great room where you can actually take it easy during the day and to take most of your hard partying elsewhere......Then, Mandalay is great.

Personally, I think it's perfect for a trip with a S.O. Maybe not so much for a trip with the guys. I think I'd rather be more centrally located on the strip.

However, your deal sounds outstanding.

Have you looked into the two bedroom suites at regular mandalay?

i did look into rooms at mandalay. even standard rooms were more for the three nights. the price was the main reason i booked the rooms at the hotel. it seem i was getting the most for my money with that deal.

but, i agree with everything you said. i think i will keep my eyes open for a better deal or something around the same price at aria or the mirage. i have enjoyed staying at the mirage more than anywhere else.

Sounds to me that you got a pretty hellified deal. I imagine that's gonna be tough to beat on Memorial Day Weekend.

I stayed in a suite there a few months ago on a weekend. I really liked the room. I thought it looked very modern and sexy.. (there was a huge mirror next to the bed)
The bathroom's really nice too. and i was there in beginning of october, and the pool was still open, and kinda busy too..

but I wouldn't stay here if I was with a group of people planning to party. it's just too far from everything.. after partying, I just want to go on the elevator and head straight to the room, not have to deal with cabs and such..

I only stayed there that one time, but most of the people staying there seemed like business people and couples.. not party people. And i don't think the bar there is fun to drink at.

I think you got an excellent deal at thehotel, so you can probably get a good rate at Aria or MGM signature.

not an mgm property, but how about Palazzo? They have some pretty good deals going on, and the hotel is newer. Even the basic rooms are pretty big.

I just think Mandalay Bay is not the best place for a bachelor party.. it`s too much of a production to have to go anywhere from there.

I saw the deal and thought it would be a nice room... at a great price. but I'm starting to agree that it's not the party place I'm looking for.

I think most in my group just looked at Mandalay as homebase and a place to crash... but I'm going to look for a better location.

I just booked it... to lock in that deal... and will still hunt around.

I have not looked at Palazzo... but I will. MGM has always offered me the best deals.
