situation - getting dinner at the palms at 9 but trying to go to the bellagio for the night. will have VIP tickets for the bank. i'm guessing we will be done with dinner around 11.

will we be able to get a taxi straight to the back of bellagio? and how long would that take?

    thanks

You should be okay, make sure to tell the cabbie to take the backway (The 15). LVB is gonna be fucking insanity. But the wait might be longer than you'd care for. Not sure, this is my first LV NYE.

IMHO I would want to be leaving sooner, just because I'd want to be at Bank at midnight. Seems like a lot could go wrong in those precious sixty minutes and it would suck to be in traffic or waiting in the entranceway for your host (who's taking five minutes and taking a shot) right when the ball drops. I'd want to be there at least by 11:00 to get acclimated before midnight. My two cents.

Of course IMHO I'd want to eat dinner at Cathouse and have VIP tickets to the NYE party there. Just my two cents of what I would do if I were there.
That being said, if you're asking if it can be done, you're probably not at the level where you could pull it off.

You want to be at the club where girls want to be... not where guys get good bottle deals.

Yes I also agree that actually getting in to the club may be a huge time consumer. I'd make dinner earlier if possible.

In all honesty I'd say skip dinner at Palms and have it at Bellagio. It's gonna be retarded packed and if you leave Palms around 11 you might get stuck in traffic for a very very long time. This will also be my first NYE in LV but from what I've heard no point in chancing it.

yeah does anyone know how getting into the bank actually works? the review on here says there is no line, you just have to get someone's attention to get in. i dont think we will have much trouble with that bc we have two really good looking girls and two well dressed bros, but then again we are all college kids and can't just throw around money to get in.

i called up light group yesterday saying we had dinner at 9, would end at 11, and wanted to get in as soon as we got there, they said we'd be fine. but im a bit worried that when they say "get in with no line" and no line exists, it just puts you in the same position as everyone else.

anyone with experience at the bank have thoughts?

Avoid the strip at all costs! I usually drive on Decatur or Paradise which works just as well... i15 gets really bad on the exits sometimes.

i would say that you either have dinner way early so that you can get to the club early. The Strip will be MADDNESS and you never know what might happen. It will be extra super crowded and walking from one place to another can take an extra amount of time to get there. The clubs will be super crowded and hopefully you wont have to wait in line for a long time. But anyways just plan on taking extra time for everything.
just make sure that you get to the club early... enjoy yourself and have fun.
