Looks pretty certain that the fight will indeed be in Vegas (not that there was ever any doubt).

Anybody headed out? This is a must visit Vegas weekend for me. Flight booked, just need to take care of room and hope I can find tickets. Or, I'll be with the 40,000 or so people expected to watch closed circuit on MGM properties.

I'm definitely going to try to go. Have only seen tickets on scalper websites, not through MGM box office. It's a firm date, the 13th? I read somewhere it could be in May...

I think that the date is pretty firm at this point. Tickets probably won't go on sale until the fight is officially announced (likely early January) and some press has been done.

I read on yahoo that there is a possibility that they might cancel it because the Mayweather crew wants Pac to do bloodwork like 48 before the fight.

I would hope even if it is off for now they will find a way to get it done.

I have a feeling Mayweather's side may drop the testing angle if Pacs side drops the 10mil/per pound over clause to something more reasonable.

At least I hope so, seems like too much money out there not to get it done.

Supposedly, Pacquiao says he doesn't like to do it so close to the fight due to superstition. He agreed to 30 days before and then after the fight.

Mayweather is making a big deal. He wants to do the Olympic style drug testing which is not normally done in boxing. It consists of random blood tests done during the training camp. Pacquiao believes it will weaken him. He's agreed to do the blood test before training camp and immediately following the fight. But he doesn't want to have it done during his training camp. Freddie Roach also says he doesn't want his fighter getting pricked at any given time. It could essentially be done at ANY point in the training camp.

and i get to vegas on Jan 3rd--booked it before the Evans/Silva UFC fight was announced for the 2nd. The tickets are outrageous anyway...
