Hotel Check in @ airport

So I hear that MGM/Mirage properties has a check in desk at the airport. Has anyone used this and do they check in guest for THE Hotel which is one of their properties? Wondering how easy it is to upgrade your rm here vs. directly on site of hotel?

Ive done it before, and the $20 trick is actually easier cause there isnt always a manager on site. Ive done it for MGM Grand not sure if mandalay and the hotel have this, a bunch of hotels used to have it, but then a bunch shut it down last year

Thats actually a question I had as well, my flight is sheduled to get in pretty early on saturday (10AM) would that be too early to check in and use the 20$ trick (at the airport)... also does the mirage offer free shuttle service to/from the airport?

The counter at the airport is for the MGM Grand only. I've used it 4 times and it's a major time saver. Tried the $20 trick there 3 times and it worked twice. No free shuttle to hotel but you can use one of those shuttle bus services for about $6 each way. It takes a long longer. Cab is still you're best choice and it's only $12 to MGM Grand.

I have used this counter once as well; when i was staying at the MGM Grande. However i beleive that it is only for that property unless they have changed it since i was there two years ago. Can't say about the 20$ sandwich either because i never knew about that back then! It sure was a lot faster than checking in at the front desk and I liked that a lot!!!

I believe the only Hotel that does that is the MGM. I know I stayed at the MGM and after you get your luggage they have a desk right there where they check you in and deliver your luggage to your room.
