  • Tipping Vip Host Waitess Security

I was wondering what is the correct ammount to tip the vip host that jack colton recommends on his website. If we have a party of 5 or 6 people and doing 2 to 3 bottles each night. I know the waitress gets 20% tip of the bill. Do you need to tip secuirty....

I believe it's optional, however recommended. They'll take care of you when you tip them. I don't think you tip them the same amount as the host or the waitress. Someone can chime in here with a better number. My advice is to tip the security guy in your area.

the average toke for your host is $100-$150 ... thats about the average... and tokes are always appreciated.

i think the average toke for your security guy is about $40-50

      thats just my imo.

I only throw security $20, and they always seem very appreciative.

Yep, security gets $20 from me too and $20 for the guy pouring the drinks and $20 for the waitress before she goes to get the drinks + her usual 20%

+1 on the $20. Security has always seemed happy to get that. If the night gets a bit hectic and they keep my space sorted for me I usually tip them again towards the end of the night or shift change.

I usually give him a few 20's spread throughtout the night. They're always appreciative and show it in return with whatever you need.

This is a good way to go... I've done the same. Security guys is happy... let's you get away with more. Waitress is happy... I then tell her no one orders bottles but me... when it's on my tap.

I end up being the lead in my group and I make sure the security gets tipped. IMO, they're the ones that actually do the work (compared to the waitress, who ends up usually working a zone or 2 or more tables anyway). The porter gets tipped because of the waitress, so I never tip him.

If I get bad service though, I make damn sure someone gets informed and I make sure I get the name of the staff member that's being a dick/prick.

Just remember that most casino employees get paid minimum wage because the casino expects them to get tips. Security guards make $8.25 right now. If you don't want to tip $20 then tip what you think is appropriate, something at least. (Please don't tip 50 cents, that's an insult). I am a dealer and the lowest tip I got was 2 pennies, I threw it back at the guy and told him to keep it.
