Staying in a hotel then going to their club?

I know everybody on this site uses the Hosts to get their tables booked and everything but if you are staying in say the Encore would the hotels concierge not be able to sort you out a table or free entrée with no cover? I mean typically its the Hotels concierge which normally has the best contacts isn't it? I've never been to Vegas but im just thinking that's how it normally works in other countries, or is it just better to go direct to the hosts?

If so has any of you guys tried this?

As I am staying in the signature i has hoping the concierge would be able to sort me a bungalow out at wet republic rather than me going to the hosts!

The popular clubs on Friday and Saturday nights the concierge wont be able to help you. Unless, maybe if you a high roller.

YES they can help you. So can a Limo driver or a VIP company.

The reason I only use DIRECT host is:

1)they have more control over your reservation than anyone else. why work at the bottom of the food chain when you can start at the top

2)Im a repeat customer at most clubs, but I have yet to stay at the same hotel twice. Using the same host and referring peeps to them can have some benefits like no line/cover when your not interested in bottle service, or getting a 1 bottle min. on a holiday weekend when the club has a strict 2 bottle min policy, ect. ect.

If you only ever plan on going to Vegas once every 4 years or more, than #2 wouldnt matter, but #1 always does.

It's two different business models. The concierge is trying to make all of his guests happy; doesn't care about the club itself. The host is trying to keep equillibrium within the club (male to female; good looking etc) and doesn't particularly want that Ed hardy wearing dude the concierge gave a 'pass' to a few hours earlier.

I would use a host from the club or from this site.

I have had some mixed results from doing this.

1. The Wynn on Memorial weekend was epic fail. Went to concierge and immediately got rejected when I made requests to be put on guestlist for Wynn/XS. They already had a 'canned' response that holiday weekend's have no guestlist. Eventhough I did see people with clipboards working the front of those places that evening.

2. The MGM- with a Wet Republic/Tabu inclusive package on Labor Day weekend was a success. I didn't even bother to use my free admissions to Tabu, cause it blows.. but I did use the Wet Republic. Access to WR on LDW was close to $100 a head. I booked the package, and it was listed on my check in invoice. I made note of my room number. When you go up to Wet and you are asked to pay, just charge the cover back to your MGM hotel room number. It will be taken off your final bill.

We got some passes for Tryst on Halloween from the Guest Services/concierge desk at Wynn, and then of course were able to be pulled from the line since we are hot girls. The passes might have been just for females though... Just wear a wig to get in, then you can take it off once you get in. Show some leg too, can't hurt! haha

It depends how many are in your party.. If its 4 and more, I would say most definitely. Aboslutely for certain if its a group of guys looking for some quality tail. Shoot for the VIP couches!

Sorry got me slightly confused, wat is the VIP Couches is that just another term for Day Bed/Cabana/Bungalow
I have seen the quotes for minimum spends for the Bungalow which is basically from wat i gather the best vip area and on a saturday they are asking for $2500 minimum spend, do you think it would be worth it?
