  • Minimum Spend

I was thinking with it being such a large and strong community on this site maybe it would be possible to encourage some of the hosts to offer minimum spend rather than minimum bottles,
For instance wouldn't it be better if they said you have to spend a minimum of $600 but in that you can have any drink or bottle u want! They would take in more money, the people doing the whole table thing would have greater flexibility in choosing which drinks they want rather than there being one person who doesn't like say vodka! I mean they talk about European bottle service but in Europe it usually works on a minimum spend basis!

For instance last wknd i did table service in liverpool england and i was told i had to spend a minimum $700, but in that i ordered:

    1X Dom Perignon
    1x Jack Daniels 70cl
    1x Bombay Sapphire 70cl

By the way are the bottles in vegas typically 70cl or 1 litre?

I know that during the summer months, at the pool parties, they go by minimum spending. But I Think that's because there's a whole lot more to order from the drink menu. In the clubs it's different.

Im not so sure its up to the host, but you could always ask. Some clubs are already doing this. All the pool parties are doing it.

When I went they were 1 liter. What is a CL, a centiliter?

That being said, if you're asking if it can be done, you're probably not at the level where you could pull it off.

You want to be at the club where girls want to be... not where guys get good bottle deals.

          Correct! 1/100 of a litre or 10ml.

That is a nice touch though, most bottles here are 70cl - I'll enjoy the extra 22 shots you get out of the larger bottle

So I was paying attention when we went over the metric system in school (all jokes aside it's superior I know, but I'm under the impression we got our system from you guys).

How do you get 22 shots from an extra 300ml? At home here I can polish off our 750 ml no prob; we get about 14-16 drinks a bottle so the liter (excuse me litre ) was about 3 -5 more drinks. Are you calling sips, shots? A loss in translation?

That aside, I'm serious about my cost/potency theory...I got fcked on those liter bottles like I'd never been with the 750s. That extra 250 ml (300 for you) whew...it packed a punch!

Shots in Europe are 25ml rather than the 50ml in the US. Your shots would be a double for us.

Yeah U.S. shots are typically 1.5 oz which 1 oz is equal to 29.57 mL. So a shot in the US would be 44.36 mL. The extra 300 mL would yield you about 6 3/4 shots more. Of course this is the U.S. shot system and not the "ponies" or jaggers or whatever Europe does..

On a side note.. I think it would be awesome if you good get tables in a club on a minimum rather than # of bottles...

I find the bottle minimum a bit wierd really, I guess it makes it easy for the waitresses - how hard is opening a bottle right?! But people would probably end up spending more if there was just a minimum spend as you get more drunk you'd just keep ordering more drinks instead of just sticking to the bottle you've ordered!

Your maths is still a bit dodgy! Have you started drinking already? ;-)

Good god! I know I've said this before, but HOW can you pay that much for a bottle of $40 booze??? Especially in the states, where free pour means you get a shit load more than our poxy little 25cl shots!

Oh wait, I take that back... I think it may be the Pure Management Group that has 750 mL bottles.
