I agree 100%. Minimum spend is so much more logical. If the club requires 1 bottle for 3 people, then a party of 4 or 5 is hosed. Bottle service might be cheaper for the club to operate, but they can always adjust drink prices and minimum as necessary.

Is anyone doing minimum spend now?

Just imagine how much better it would be! You could like get to your table order a load of beers and once u have a load of them then u could start on the bottles! makes more sence!

I walked by a small group on Saturday in Tao that had table service and only had one bottle of Belvedere on the table at the time. The hostess presented him the bill. I recall seeing a number around the $630's for this. I think my jaw hit the ground at this point...

Eek! Mr E paid £80 for Belvedere and a shit load of redbull mixers for my birthday the other night. The joy (and cheapness) of living in a provincial city

We were there Friday -- we had Ketel One for $350 and with gratuity, tax, water and a small handful of red bulls, the total was just over $500. I don't recall the list price of the Belvedere, I would guess $400-450? So their total bill make sense. The fact that they paid that much more for Belvedere vs. Ketel One does not makes sense to me, however, unless they were sipping the vodka (and even then...)

It is easily possible. Higher priced alcohol. Add in some more than a handful of redbull add a couple drinks ordered to the table and a few $8 bottles of water and your at $630 easy

That being said, if you're asking if it can be done, you're probably not at the level where you could pull it off.

You want to be at the club where girls want to be... not where guys get good bottle deals.

Las Vegas was good. Hell of a ship, hell of a crew.
