  • Clubbing shouldn't stress me out like this....

    Hi All.

Another self-admitted lurquer here, and I'm hoping for some help.

I'm organizing a few nights out this weekend for a group of 7 guys and girls, mid 30's, though we act younger once we have a few drinks.. .

We have only been out to the Palms (last year) and had a so-so time. There was a mix up that night, where everyone that worked at the Palms was telling us Moon was house/top 40 mash up and Rain was hip hop, and the girls are not hip hop fans. After 3 hours at Moon, where they only played hip hop, the girls stood and stood, and waited, and danced maybe twice, while the guys got loaded. The girls got tired of standing in their heels, and so we went to Rain, where we discovered they were playing the musci we were looking for...we danced for an hour, but the girls feet were sore, so we had to go.

We are doing it right this year and getting bottle service at Tryst on Saturday night. However, I am hesitating, for a few reasons. XS is, of course, the hottest, so I keep thinking we should be going there. Plus, I'm guessing one of the draws to Tryst is the waterfall, and I'm betting that area is closed off becasue it's cold?? Yes? No??

Also, we want to go out Friday night, but are kind of undecided. As we are going full out on Saturday, we don't want to overdo it on Friday, and want to somehwat behave, but then..ah,, it's vegas. And no one gets hungover in vegas, right? . That being said, we are going to Ka at 7 p.m. and then out later.

    Should we :

    1. do the wristbands friday at the palms (Rain) though we don't want a mess up of last year.
    2. Go to revolution for open bar and then move to Jet?
    3. Throw caution to the wind, do it up right, and do XS friday, then Tryst Saturday?

What are the do not miss clubs??

Budget might start becoming an issue, as we have to find somehwere to go Sunday and Monday night too......

Oh, and the more answers I get..the more detailed the trip report....

ok I say palms wristband on friday especially since youre seeing KA you dont have to stress about hurrying and what time it is etc etc, and you will then have the choice to bounce around between rain and moon and ghostbar plus its budget friendly. next, tryst waterfall section will be open, its actually part of the club and they couldnt get away with closing it, and they put out heat lamps to keep it warm, but the cool air will be refreshing. Id suggest bank for sunday night and if you really want to go to XS do that on monday night. dont waste your time at revolution and JET if you want to do vegas right......do not miss clubs are XS tryst and tao, and id throw in Bank on sundays
it's that time again, let's get #28 gentleman....for the boss

If you want your fix of house, dont bother with Tryst. Try Rain on Perfecto nights. Infact Jack posts up a schedule of clubs that play house music. Check the main site. Tao is very good about house on certain nights as well.

        K - I think I might have confused people.

I don't think the crowd I'm with is into house or techno. Pretty much top 40/mainstream dance/80's etc.

We don't want to spend big money or get too loaded and ruin Saturday....I see some other threads. I guess I can just follow those...

We were also debating Body English on Friday, but thinking we might be too old...

I don't think you confused people just Royale!

I'm not too much into house music (not saying I won't dance to it just saying) I thought the advice NYC gave you was good. When I went to Tryst in July I thought they had a good mix of music. So my vote is for Tryst.
Dear Captain Morgan.....I've seen the pics we need to talk!

Tao friday and Tryst Saturday. Def hit these clubs up. We had a table by the pool and it was a little cold, but the heat lamps certainly helped and after a few drinks it didnt matter. I think the ladies will like both spots. You may want to try the whole guys get a bottle while the girls hit upthe guest list, that'll save you some money, but don't miss Tryst, if I could be in love with a club....of course I loved Tao too...
That being said, if you're asking if it can be done, you're probably not at the level where you could pull it off.
              -Charles~

You want to be at the club where girls want to be... not where guys get good bottle deals.

Sorta. I believe they are planning for it to become an after hours spot.

Im with Royale.. when you said you didnt enjoy all the hip hop that means you wanted to feel the rush of Electro moving through your body!!!

Its all mashups or blending nowadays... The four times i was out there this year i heard hip hop/top40 songs over house beats...like this [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0X5HoVtk8Wg[/ame]

I think most clubs out there are playing top 40 with mash ups
i recall someone saying that RoK plays alot of Rock music if thats what you like to dance to...

XS is a beautiful club and nice party vibe... and yes lots of house music there

and you shouldnt feel too old in your 30's ... my 21 year old niece said to me the other day , "uncle dont you know... 30's are the new 20's"

Thats right! House music creates endorphins for sure.. that + liquor is a perfect combination to have a good Vegas vacation.
