Dissimilar landmarks — Binion’s and CityCenter — reflect today’s Las Vegas

I know everyone is here to party, gamble and have a good time. But for those who interested in where Las Vegas is heading in the near future, I found this article to be interesting.

That is an interesting article. I definitely think more low-end room supply needs to come out of the city for there to be any recovery in the next few years given the backlog of new rooms coming online, particularly CityCenter but then Fountainbleau and Cosmopolitan. I know Binion's $19 rooms aren't directly competing with Wynn et al, but there's certainly a cascade effect that works its way up the chain.

I didn't read the article, but Binion's is closing their hotel tower on the 14th.

That was a good little read. I m excited about the Vdara, and I never have fun when I go to downtown LV. Just not my style
