Spending Money

I'm in Vegas next April as many of the regular forum members will be aware already. One of my concerns is obviously regarding spending money. I have not been to America since i was 8 so i have no idea how much drinks and food is out there!

Taking into account i am there for 6 nights and that i am going to be doing table service for 6 nights as well, plus other activities such as helicopter ride over the canyon one day, plus maybe a few other touristy things, how much spending money should I take each day i was thinking about $1700 for each day!

I was going to allow $700 for going clubbing with and then i would be left with $1000 to spend on everything else during the day such as gambling, food, pool parties and excursions!

Well the good news for you is that the exchange rate is definitely in your favor currently. A few friends of mine and their lads went on the heli ride, and well, to be honest they were too hungover to really enjoy it (their ride was at 7:00am!).

If I were you I'd look in to the Planet Hollywood deal, you'll save a lot of money by doing the 10 days for $599 deal. In theory that is.

Depending on how much you plan on gambling and fine dining, that can greatly increase or decrease the amount you need to take. Personally, one night of nice dinner and the rest of the time ordering a pizza or grabbing a quick bite at Earl of Sandwich does the trick. I mean really, your diet should be consisting mostly of potato water anyway

The touristy things aren't really worth it in my opinion given you can do most of those things outside of Vegas. You're there to party!

P.S - Drinks inside of the clubs range from $7.00 - 18.00 depending on the club or bar, not including champagne or top shelf liquors. Average is about $9.00 - $12.00 usually. Of course you can always get free drinks by paroosing the casino floor and gambling a bit, and BYOB!!!!

1700 a night will buy you a great time IMO. unless you blow it all on the craps table and high priced escorts every night

oh and they finished selling the 10 nights of fame package at PH. I guess it was too popular.

I think out of the gate youll probably spend about 1200-1500 a day, which would include top notch dining, a table at a club and some gambling, but as the nights go onyoure spending will prob go down as you wont be partying as hard, youll be too hungover to enjoy fine dining, but you might gamble more and as long as youre halfway decent at it and not a degenrate trainwreck.....so I think $1700 is more than enough.

Sweet jebus.. $1700 a night? You can live like the Sultan out in Vegas for that kind of money. For a decent time, most people can get away with spending about $200 a night (not including hotel/pre-booked events like bottle service).

The hotel is already sorted, we are staying at the MGM Signature, the spending money is literately just to have a good time with!

Dude, then you will have an amazing time! unless you have a harem of women that you are bringing on this trip and have to support as well.... but then again you'd still have a great time in that scenario lol

That sounds like a fine amount to me. I budgeted about 1500 a day and exceeded that easily. So IMO, BRING AS MUCH AS YOU CAN AFFORD! Lol! I wish I was going with you guys, sounds like a lot offun. You gotta figure too, (I don't know if you're planning on shouldering the group or not) with more than five people it's more fun to just get a limo; shows are not to be missed; and the shopping Is crazy, it seems there's no end to what you can buy there so live it up!

Agreed. Riding solo, I spent around $200-$250, from start of the club to falling asleep at night, including buying kind of a lot of drinks and eating afterwards.


Of course, this is where the obligatory "you shoulda budgeted for an extra $50-$100 at the end of the night, pal" comment gets entered.

Im paying for myself and that is it if the others dont want to do table service they can work out how they will get into the clubs themselves! My budget is for me only, i have already told every one that i will not be ledding one dollar to anyone either! I would sooner have some mega girls having a drink with me than pay for so called m8s who dont want to chip in!
