Not really been posting here, or doing much planning for our NYE trip over the past few weeks as have been pretty busy at work, but it is time this weekend to finish off sorting everything out...

so a few questions...

1) which stores will sell a big map of america + some kind of stand for it. (to put in pin in each state after we take a girl home from there.

2) tao v lavo. Was planning lavo for tuesday 5th jan. but still not booked it. would anyone recommend tao instead?

3) Tea. as much as i love my espresso's in the morning, as a englishman, i like tea. Do they sell 'Twinings' anywhere? much prefer it to the other brands

4) Taxi's. Leaving clubs is it easy to get a taxi back to the hotel, or is there a mad rush? Should we organize a car via the hotel concierge. (it is just 2 of us + whoever we pick up in the club)

5) helicopter tours of grand canyon. still need to book this... anyone got a firm that they have used before and can recommend.

6) lastly... watching english sport - which bars will show any english sport? (premiership football / cricket tour down to sa.)

1) The big area of touristy stores will most definitely have this. Make sure you have two colours of pins so you can also mark the states of girls that reject you once you tell them about the map. Also, you may be knocked out by the way the Southern girls talk, or the styles the East Coast girls wear, but at the end of the day, you'll wish they all could be California girls.

3) Twinings is easily available at any grocery store. To duplicate the effect of authentic Earl Grey tea, though, you can also grab a bunch of the lint from your hotel pillow, soak it in hot water, and add cream after five minutes.

4) Readily available, but in front of hotels, not off the street.

for #6, Dont know which hotel you are staying in, but most of the books have betting on the EPL. The issue is when they are on usually at 5am or so they start so the books themselves are not open but usually the TVs will be on or you can get one of the small horseracing TVs.

If you want a bar atmosphere, Crown and Anchor has great reviews and there is a Fado near here that is nice, I would imagine the one in Vegas is also good.

You will be able to get the early game on Saturday and any Monday games on ESPN2 in your hotel room (Most hotels have espn2 on the services)

Check the FoxSoccer and SetantaUS sites to see what games will be on when you are there.

4) Taxi's are in front of the hotels. There will be cab lines so just hop in line. Unless you wanna hop in a limo, there's always Limos waiting out front for a certain amount. Not worth it, but after a few drinks my opinion changes.

The cab lines can be long, but when you're plastered and having the time of your life... they seem to go pretty quick, especially if the crowd in the line is cool and fun too (which they usually are at that hour of night)

That's true. I don't even remember some cab rides after a club.

but remember "WE DONT DO LINES" walk up to the front of the line, if anyone says something tell them to shut up its an emrgency, have a friend look like hes gonna vomit and cant walk, tip the valet $10 and the line will be a thing of the past!
