My Birthday weekend TR

Let me begin by saying thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday today.

Ok so I'll give you a little background on some of the main people involved along with the 2 weeks prior. The main people I partied with were my brother, who's down for whatever, Cori, who's part of my Vegas crew and Laura who only partied with me for a bit in Saturday but she did help shift the mood! I work for a courier company like UPS or Fedex but we stick to Southern Cali, nothing as big as either of them. Well due to one of our clients we had to pick up UPS style scanners and the 2 weeks+ prior to my weekend and it had been hell trying to train 70+ drivers along with tons of other headaches so I was really really looking forward to some me time! So I'll start off on...

Friday Nov 6

So we had decided to go out for a little "practice" this night so after a long day at work I get off around 8:30. Since I have to "dress" up for work I decided to change before I hit the bar. I get downtown around 9:20ish and proceed to spend about 25 minutes trying to find parking so that I didn't have to spend money on parking but sure enough I wasn't able to find parking so I paid. Fuck it!

I roll into our spot, Las Hadas, and proceed to order a round of tequila "shooters" before I say whats up to everyone. Yeah I know... but I was thirsty So we start chatting and there was a couple other of Cori's friends that I had met before and they were big time whiskey drinkers and they decided to get me a shot of Jack. Not a fan of whiskey at all but some of you that met me for LDW know that I'm down to drink whatever lol So I take the shot and chase it with a Bud Light and order another. After about 4-5 beers and the JD shot the owner decides to get me a shot of Patron for my birthday and of course I took it! By this time it was about 1 something and I decided it was time to stop and get some food so I can sober up. I threw down a couple waters to help the sober process and that helped a bit along with about half a pizza that I ate. At the same time though I was only buzzing it and not really drunk since I had eaten at work around 7ish and it was a decent size meal. I hung out at the bar after shooting the shit with some of the staff and my friends and once I was sober my bro and me took off home.

All in all it was a decent little practice run but it was more because I wanted to just relax and not get all sloppy. Day 2 coming... I must warn you though, it does start off kinda slow.

Saturday Nov 7 (day)

So I wake up feeling really good, I felt so relaxed and was looking forward to a night of debauchery It was around 10ish when I got up and I decided it was time to hit up some Birria! If you dont know what that is its a mexican stew made from goat. It's really really good!!! I picked up some birria and my bro got some menudo, we went back to the pad and destroyed it! Felt lazy after that lol

At this point I decide I want to hit up the store and pick up some jeans and a shirt to wear so we went over to the mall to one of my buddies spots. We looked around and I ended up getting a really sick Tribal shirt and found some regular jeans. I'm not picky at all when it comes to jeans. We head back to the pad and pack a small suitcase since we were getting a room downtown. After we clean up at home we head to the grocery store and I pick up a 36pk of bud light and a giant 1.75L of Kettle one! Oh yeah and a cranberry juice. At this point were ready to shoot to the hotel.

So we get downtown and pull up to the hotel where the attendant asks in an extremely rude way, "What are you doing here? Can I help you?" My bro and me were like, motha fucker! We got a room here! He then helps us with the bags and proceeds to tell me that valet parking is $35 for overnight I was like WTF?!? Kick Rocks!!! So I left my bro with my stuff there and went to park my car literally down the street! We get inside to check in and this is where it gets shitty...

The day before was when I made the reservation and I specifically asked the person I spoke with what I would need, because every place is different, to which she told me that all I needed was a card. I asked if they would charge it a deposit and she said no and that all they needed was the number to keep on file. So since I know myself and my habits I made it a thing to only leave a few bucks in there and to only take cash for what I wanted to spend so that I dont go over. So anyways we go to check in and everything was going smooth, check in girl was really nice and even gave me a free upgrade, she then asked for my card like at any other place and proceeds to run it thru her machine. She then says that my card was denied, at first I was like wait why the eff are you running it? And how much are you running it for? She then proceeds to tell me that she ran it for almost $1k which was for 2 rooms plus a "small" deposit per room. The rooms were only $200 each so the "small" deposit was for like $500. I flipped out because I didnt have that in there and I had asked several times if they would run my card. I told her what I was told and she says that unfortunately I was lied to and it was either I leave a "small" cash deposit or I have them run my card. Since I had only brought a dedicated amount I wouldnt have been able to do either so after arguing with the manager and trying to figure something out I decided fuck this! I'll hit up my friend and see if we can just crash at her spot.

I'm sorry if I went on and on but I was really pissed off at this point and it almost ruined my night for me. Oh yeah and my friend was definitely down to party at her house afterwards

Saturday Nov 7 (night)

So after all the bs with the hotel I drive over to my friend Cori's house who lives 5 mins from downtown. We get there and unload all the alcohol and put it all away. At this point it was about 6 and all I had eaten was the birria from earlier so we decided to skip throwing down some beers and called a cab to take us downtown. The cab took his sweet fucking time... he was supposed to be there in under 15 minutes but showed up about 20 mins late. I was pretty pissed but figured fuck it! Lets get some sushi and get our drink on! lol

We finally get downtown and decided to hit up the sushi spot next to our spot. It was our first time there and I'll tell you what, it was pretty good! The fish was really really fresh and the prices were fairly reasonable. After eating and texting some people and posting up on the "Drunk" thread we decided to hit up next door and start drinking! We get in and of course get treated amazing and the bartender and owner immediately make me take shot to start off the night. It was about 8 at this point. I took my shot and our waitress comes over and hands us all our beers but gives me an extra one just because so I down the first one and work on my second. We end up chilling there for about an hour and I had gotten a few texts from people saying they'd be there like at 10 or 11 so I decided that my current crew and me should start hopping some bars! We go to one spot, Whiskey Girl which is one of my other favorites, we have a beer and get a stamp so we dont have to pay cover when we return. We then hit up a tequila bar called "Limes" which was only ok. The tequila selection was pretty nice but it was crazy over priced, for downtown that is. Patron was like $14+! We had one beer and decided to leave.

At this point it's about 10 and I get a call from Laura who just got there and is heading to meet us at our spot so we shoot over there. We get there and she wasn't there yet so we sit at the bar and get a couple extra chairs since she was with a friend. So since I had been sticking to beer with only a couple shots I decided to try something else to drink. I ask the waitress to surprise me with my next drink and she brings me a mojito which was pretty decent. I kill it in a few sips since you can barely taste the alcohol and she then gets me a different flavored mojito and at the same time Laura finally shows up, half an hour after she said, and was actually there with 2 friends. Not a big deal at all as they were both chics and cute I'm single so what do you expect! lol She then proceeds to tell me that since I got her beyond wasted on her last night she was going to get me back! It sounded like a challenge but of course I was down for it!

Her and her friends order there drinks and proceed to order tons of shots!!! I ended up losing count it was that many. She tells me that I have to take a shot with each girl as well as all of them together so like 4 shots. No biggie since they were tequila "shooters." BTW tequila "shooters" are 3/4's tequila and 1/4 Sprite but how they get you is they cover the top of the glass and slam it on the counter and then you "shoot" it hence tequila "shooters" and their only $1 each so their cheap!!! I take my 4 shots and finish my mojito and get another "surprise" drink when one of the girls decides she's buying 2 shots for all of us, 2 a piece so 12 total. I take them and I finally start feeling a nice small buzz. They decide they wanna head back to Whiskey Girl and as I was about to leave I realize the Fedor fight is about to go down so I tell them that I will meet them there after the fight to which they were disappointed but oh well. lol

So as I'm watching the fight these 2 hot blondes come up in between Cori and me and order themselves 8 shooters, 4 each! Cori and me start talking to them and saying that we like their style lol Cori then tells them that its my birthday and they look at me and yell out, "Were buying you some shots!" and order 4 more for me. Need I say more... I'm down so I take them with them and we end up exchanging number because they wanted to meet up later once again... I'm single its cool!

Fights over so off to Whiskey Girl we go! We get there and get right in since were already stamped. "I don't do lines!" pops in my head hahaha We get inside and there's a nice crowd and suddenly I get pulled and next thing I know Laura and her 2 friends were all up on me dancing with my and then they decide to put one of those Princess halos on me but I wasn't having any of that so I threw that shit away before they got pics of it! We danced, her friends bought me a couple rounds of vodka redbull and had a good time! We had gotten there like at 11 I think and around midnight we want to go back and finish at our spot since we get hooked up there lol

So were back at our spot and I get a couple texts from a couple friends that wanted to meet afterwards. I tell them where to meet me and we keep drinking at our spot till last call. One of the waitresses at that spot was supposed to party with us but ended up having to work so I gave her the address of where we were staying and told her to meet us there. We then wander the streets drunk trying to find one of our friends car, who was sober since she only smokes but hadnt smoked that night. We get in and head back to Cori's pad and our other friends meet us and we start working on the Kettle One and Bud light. We do a round of drinking games but we weren't really in any shape to finish so we just bs'd around. The waitress finally shows up and I make her take 4 shots of Vodka along with 2 tequila to catch up I'm evil sometimes I know lol She's a petite girl so it hits her fairly quickly and at this point we decided to see what we all had on our iphones and just started jammin' to all kinds of different music. We almost finished the Kettle one and over half the 36pk but when we all realized the sun was coming up we decided it was time to crash out!

Cori brings out tons of blankets for everyone and pillows and this is when I realized my brother wasnt around. I immediately grab my phone and see a few text messages from him. The first one was, "Hey you guys were so into your conversation about some bullshit I decided to leave"
Next one was, "I'm with what's her name and I think bitch is trying to get lost on purpose"
Next one, "I think I'm in Chula Vista but I'm not even sure whats about to happen right now"
Next one, "I know what your gonna fucken say asshole but I will fucken handle it!!!"

We were all busting up because it was hilarious at the time. I text him back and then pass out like 630 I think.

Sunday isn't anything big. I got up around 930 to make sure my bets were in and all my fantasy players were good. I text my bro to find out if I'm picking him up or if he's getting dropped off. I go in and out of sleep for about 2 hours and then decide its time to wake up and eat and watch some football! I wake up Cori and the waitress and say my goodbyes to Cori and give the waitress a ride home and head straight to Oggi's to watch my Chargers beat up the Giants.

Oh yeah, my bro got dropped off at Oggi's like 2 mins before kick off. I had about 2 beers and they did not taste good at all, my bro ordered a beer but only took a sip of it. lol we were pretty hungover and tired. I still managed to get the energy to play a poker tournament that night and limped in to the final table and made my money that I spent the night before back




So this is my story.... I hope you enjoyed it and once again I'm sorry if I went into too much detail but since I love reading TR's with tons of details I figured it's the least I could do.

I was able to handle the liquor because I ate quite a but of sushi and it definitely helped me out! Lol if it wasn't for that then I wouldn't have made it. The shooters weren't really all that strong being 3/4 tequila but they do add up! Lol
