  • I'm going back!!

Tentatively I'm going back to Vegas in March. Right now it's my gf and I, the gf sister, and my roomate. Dates are scheduled for March 15-March 19. (Mon-Friday) I know, in general, weekends are better for all major clubs. But going midweek will allow me to save money for AOD, as I will be most likely becoming a first time home owner in the spring/early summer and need to scrap all the extra cash I can.

Anyways I searched the forums to try to get some information for St. Patty's day. And from what I read it appears that St. Patty's day isn't too big of a deal out there? Does Vegas consider this a holiday - thus making bottle mins/prices higher? Also trying to get a rough itinerary set up and not sure what clubs are open which days.. Itinerary is set as follows, please feel free to suggest comments. ( I know there will be a few new clubs come new years...and plans are def going to change...)

Monday (3/15): Arrive Early AM...Downtown at night
Tuesday (3/16): Show...Open..Maybe hit carnival court for the night (any advice?)
Wednesday (3/17): St. Patty's day - open need advice
    Thursday (3/18): TAO
    Friday (3/19): Flight home

    Thanks in advance!
    Vegas: May 2 - May 5
Hotel: Mandalay Bay - Vista Suite
    5/2 - Vanity
    5/3 - XS
5/4 - Carnival Court and Downtown

    Nice!

I personally always thought downtown/Freemont street was a waste. Unless you have never been there before i guess its good to see once.

yeah I havn't made it down there..and Its something I thought would be fun for the first night...Cheap drinks and gambling. Plus more than likely we will call it an early night since we'll be up really early to catch out 8 am flight.

Yeah that was kinda of what I was insinuating.. I was just wondering what the boards opinions were for best tues/weds clubs now. I'm not sure which clubs are dark on those two days. I def wanna try to hit up XS even if it starts to die down by then... Like I said the plans are def going to change as its over four months away..

Monday at XS was fantastic last week - if you can make it out your first night...really easy to get in, but a really nice crowd. Plus lots of free passes for monday nights flying around.
We did pure on tuesday - pretty busy, a good looking crowd, pretty packed by 1ish - but to be honest I was to tired to care!
Halloween AOD #4 trip - I survived!!! (I still can't quite believe it!)

I wonder how O'Sheas would be on St. Patty's Day... just saying.

My roomate is a boxman (guy that guards the chips on the craps table) at a local casino and he said he talked to one of his coworkers that used to deal out in Vegas and said St. Patty's day was insane and crazy at O'sheas..... but from what I read on here from past threads...It seems like it really isn't that big of a deal... so kinda some conflicting info...

I'm thinking about switching the downtown night to Wednesday and going to XS on Monday now... And just hanging out at the casino on st patty's day.... But who knows long long way away...

Im guessing the fact that they dye the river green in Chicago gives that away? lol.
