Two Guys Six Nights On a Budget

Hi Guys,

Myself and my friend are heading to Vegas for 6 nights from the 5th Sept - 11th. The only night we cant go out is the 6th as we are attending my mates sisters wedding other than that we are free to do as we please.

I think I could afford at least one possibly two nights with bottle service during my trip (it would be more had we not been going to San Francisco the week before!) and I was wondering what nights would be best to use it and also looking for suggestions for nights that can be just as fun for two young single guys, but on a budget.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I'm not looking forward to the 14hrs flying from London to San Fran but I'm sure Vegas will make it all worth while!

"on a budget" is not the best thing when in vegas, especially if you are looking at going out to a club! And bottle service would certainly NOT be your best move to be honest. Check around and get your names on the guestlist of the clubs, thus getting you free entry! Hit up napkinnights, they will put you on the guestlist at most the clubs!

vegas on a budget can be done but what are you trying to accomplish? Clubs? Gambling? Shows? Hooking up? Food? Pool parties? Sights? Thrill rides? Strip clubs?

I have some ideas but just need to know some details.

I have gone to vegas many times on a budget, sometimes spending twice as much as I thought, sometimes spending half as much.

On a side note, where are you guys partying in San fran? I have friends flying from vegas to s.f. This labor day weekend to whoop it up.

first things first: six nights?? are you kidding? bring your own IV with you, as you will need this! now vegas can be done on a budget....its just not as fun! I would suggest they spyonvegas website they have free happy hours mon-fri, I would also suggest old vegas during daytime/early evening where you can find cheap drinks and specials, drink up and and head out to party.

I'm flying to San Francisco Thursday arriving in San Fran at 1pm ish. Were staying in the Hilton Union Square as a friend of mine got us a good deal.

My total spend for the holiday is $3000 but I can happily go $1000 over if I need to possibly $1500 depending on how things are going! So If i split that equally over the course of the holiday thats $300 a day however I doubt i will spend $300 everyday that im in San Fran to be fair.

Im open to suggestion when it comes to things to do, quite happy to mix it up a bit. I will do a bit of gambling as i do love poker but not enough to want to be stuck in a casino for hours on end gambling my spends away.

All in all I thought my budget was quite respectible before I started looking at some of the bar bills on this forum! I guess its a shame there isnt more of us going as in london (where i live) we split a table four ways most weekends but its a lot more expensive with just two of us!

Richard you should be in good shape if you stick to your budget plan..If i were you, i would try and be thrifty in san fran and save the bulk of my money for vegas. i would save my bottle service nights for the weekend. Coming from London, you should be very familiar with the comparable drink prices. me and my brother were in london in april and dropped $3000 in one night.. a magnum of grey goose at funky buddah bar was $1000. while we were leaving funky budda we met a girl and her cousin who was a member at the british luxury club. while at the british luxury club i bought another bottle after that things got a little foggy. the next morning me and my brother did the math and were out $3000. I love london and am thinking about going back for a quick weekend excursion (thurs-sunday) before the end of the year and would appreciate your advice on more partying spots.

My brother has a flat in london, which is where I will be just after the new year to visit!! Nothing better.......... great pubs as well!

I'm assuming 300 per day is for food and entertainment, deffinately doable. As previously mentioned you might want to consider bottle service on friday and Saturday nights. Chances are either night will be a 2 bottle minimum so roughly 1200 for both of you. I would also consider winging it and making a gametime decision on bottle service since its the weekend after labor day holiday. Chances are your going to meet a bunch of people and you will want to be flexible with where and when you have to be somewhere. I would probably only lock in Saturday night for VIP and go baller status. If you like poker I'm going to suggest osheas on the strip. Yes divey and trashy but damn fun. 2 poker tables litteraly 6 feet from the sidewalk, great people watching mingling etc while playing poker ordering cheap double shots at the bar behind you.

I will be in s.f. Friday and Saturday nights at the sir Francis drake union square and hitting up medjool in the mission district. Where are you going? Wondering if your connections know of any other good partys.

If im honest mate we dont know anyone over in San Fran or Vegas so I dont have a clue about any parties or where to suggest your friends go.

We're actually heading to Vegas for my mates sisters wedding and we just fancied bolting on some extra time somewhere else to make it a two week trip hence we chose San Fran.

Hopefully we will stumble across some where to party, is labour day a big celebration in the states? Apologies for my ignorance however its my first trip outside of the disney state since i have reached drinking and gambling age ;-)
