Question about my last visit

So, I just got back from Vegas this past weekend, before I find time to write my TR, I just had a question.

So I reserved a table at XS on saturday through Patrick Frank. and when I was checking in, I thought I was going to meet Patrick Frank himself to tip him. So instead the person checking me in, I asked him who do I tip. He told me to tip him and just the cocktail waitress and not the runner. So I tipped that guy 140$. After I was checked in, that guy brought me another person to walk me to my table. Having small talk, I just asked him if he was a runner, he said no he is a host. When he brought me to my table, he wasnt saying it directly, but it seemed like he was waiting for the tip, and just left. So I was confused. Who was I suppose to tip? The guy that checked me in, or the guy that walked me to my table.

Another question, I had the table alongside the pool. How am I able to reserve a table inside? and What is your guys opinion in the best area for a table?

I believe Patrick spends his time at Tryst, so you'll be handed off at XS. You can tip both. I like to tip the guy that actually takes me to the table... handshaking the tip when he drops me off.

As for locations, just ask when you check in or when the guy is walking you around. Ask about where you are being taken and where you think might be a better area and hint that you'd take care of him for a better location. Better location usually means higher bottle min/higher tip.
