A group of us (5 couples) are heading to Vegas the last week in January 2010 to celebrate a few 40th birthdays in our group. We range in age from 38-41 who like to party as hard as possible whenever we're on vacation. Anything scheduled for that time that we should be aware of? Can anyone give us suggestions for the best nightlife party atmosphere for a group like ours who think/act like we're in our mid 30's when the opportunities allow it? I've heard that ROK and Ghostbar are a must on our list. They sound good and Ghostbar sounds to be exactly what we're looking for. I've been told the attire is a bit more upscale and sexy. That's pretty much what we're looking for....classy and age appropriate. Any other suggestions???
Most likely staying out late night (gambling, drinking, partying...you know...the reason you go to Vegas!!!) and then sleeping in late just to do it again the next night. We figure all the party pools are closed due to the time of year, right?
Generally, we're looking for FUN nightclubs, must see vegas shows, stripclubs (couples friendly), etc. The last time we were in Vegas was in 2008 (my wife, myself and another couple), we went to Treasures after going to to Rhino strip club. Don't get me wrong, Rhino was nice and huge but not really what we we're looking for. We only stayed for a few minutes before realizing it was way too crowded, early to mid-20's crowd, and seemed filled with the bachelor party atmosphere. We then went to Treasures which was great. None of the ladies (dancers) spoke with us at first but, once I spoke with a manager, they realized we were ALL cool with everything and just wanting to have some fun. The ladies (dancers) immediately warmed up to all of us and told us that they're typically reluctant to engage in conversations with couples because soooo many times they find that the wives/girlfriends are pressured and/or unwilling participants in their husbands/boyfriends trip to a strip club. Whatever!...I mean what kind of guy would try to pressure their wife/girlfriend into going somewhere that they're uncomfortable with.....I have no patients for guys like that. Anyway, that wasn't the case with us and we all ended up enjoying the club for what it was. I'm sure there are other couple friendly clubs in Vegas....we just have to hear about them or find them.
