  • Dollar miniums at Clubs

Got a text from my host and said that we now have a $425 minimum for our table service..

Does anyone know how this works??

I could just text him and ask but thought I would see if any members have had this?

We usually buy grey goose anyways which is around $425-$475 so meeting the minimum is not a problem..

Does this just mean we can buy a bunch of different drinks and need to spend a minimum of $425?

Normally most places make you buy one bottle minimum anyways which is around $425.

I have been doing bottles for years and this is new "minimum" thing is new..never dealt with it before.

Hi there I don't know if this really helps our counts but in the UK we usually work on a minimum spend basis so basically as long as you hit the minimum spend target then everything should be fine, I prefer this way because you can drink what ever you want!

I figured this is what they were doing...I guess now you have the option of buying a bottle or just buying a bunch of different drinks!

I wish it was like that when I was there. I'd prefer to buy $425 worth of drinks/shots than being stuck to a bottle of vodka and some mixers.

Yeah definitely at the end of the day why should the club be bothered they are still getting their money either way! But I suppose they are making $400 profit on every single bottle!

yeah I bet that the went to a "minimum" because people would rather buy the drinks than just a bottle, we will see how it works out. buzzo which club is it?

              Hey NYC...

It is at Pure...I will give you guys more details after my trip down on what the bottle prices are, etc with the new spending minimum.

I am going to buy a bottle anyways so probably won't effect me much....but it is still a nice option to be able to buy drinks now instead of a bottle......

The only time I was ever given that offer was at Body English. Justen offered us a $300 minimum. (I think, cant really recall) It was only two of us and he told the server when we got to the table that we were just doing "cocktail" and what our minimum was.

It worked out pretty well. we ended up with a couple bottles of champagne and a total WAY higher than their minimum. However, we had beer, cocktails, and wine.

I see this is more time consuming for the servers, but I wish it was more readily available.

Let us know how it turns out!

I think alot of people will end up having a higher tab than the minimum. with bottles people wouldnt get a second becasue they know they wont finish it and have to drop an extra $425

I never thought about it like that NYC..

makes sense...this way if you finish a bottle you can still keep on ordering drinks at your table..

Good for customer because they do not have to buy another bottle and good for club because customer spends more...

one major question I have is when you order a bottle of say Jack Daniels or Bombay Sapphire how much are you looking at? In a top London Night Club you would be looking around the £120 a bottle which is roughly $200? I have seen $425 been mentioned a few times for a single bottle, can this really be right and if so what size is the bottle? Also are the mixers included or are these extra? To be honest I do the table service when ever I go out in England but if these prices are right it does seem ridiculously expensive, or is it just because its Vegas?

Hey Nick, I'd like to know which clubs in London you are getting bottles for that price?! I'd say the cheapest bottles are around the £100-£120 mark whereas other bottles are normally nearer to £200 (Grey, Belvedere etc). In the most exclusive clubs - Mo*vida, Bungalow 8, paper etc you can pay up to £400 a bottle at weekends.

I guess Vegas comes in somewhere between these two extremes! $425 a bottle is about right from what I've seen and the hosts I've spoken to. Generally Mixers are included except Red Bull.
                        Things I've learned in Vegas:
Girls from Lake Tahoe are crazy, they are just "not that sort of crazy".....

That is what I said London about £120 a bottle for JD or Bombay in most London Clubs. But also in London clubs they work on a minimum spend basis rather than making you purchase certain bottles. Some of the more exclusive bottles like Belvedere do cost more, but to be honest I have never had to pay £400 for a single bottle are you sure the minimum spend wasn't £400 and because you may have had only a bottle or two the charged you the minimum spend anyway? As for the clubs I am speaking about they are Vendome, Funky Buddah etc.

I certainly have never paid £400 for a bottle, but I have seen them on the bottles list for that much!

You are right though, all tables are done on a min spend but in my experience they are pretty good at telling you if you're under it! I've never been charged the minimum amount when I've drunk under it, I have ended up buying extra drinks I didn't want and giving them away though!!

Anyways, was just saying that I can see how you'd get charged $425 for a bottle in Vegas given how much more expensive everything else is anyway.

                            hope that helps

I cant comment on the prices for Jack and bombay, all the ptrices you hear on here are pretty much for vodka. mixers are included except red bull like london said and I know that Ive ordered wine from the menu for cheaper than the vodkas, so they prices def vary, just not sure about bombay and jack, ill try to find out for you.
