  • My GF has never been to Vegas and I want her to have an amazing time.

    Hello Everybody-
I have been doing a lot of research on these forums lately and I thought the time was finally right for me to join and pose a question.

My girlfriend and I are going to be in Vegas from 12/27-12/30 (Sun-Wed) and I would like a little advice:

I have been to Vegas many times, but unfortunately all of those times were before I was 21. As such, I feel that I have a pretty good lay of the land out there but I'm a complete noob when it comes to nightlife in Vegas.

I want to show my girlfriend a great time as she has NEVER been to Vegas. What do you guys recommend for A) an awesome night or two out clubbing/drinking and B) a great dining experience? Mind you, I'm not rolling in the dough, but I don't hesitate to spend on something memorable and worth it.

Not rolling in the dough eh.. In that case, go to Body English. You will still have a great time, but you will be around some hard core party people.

One of my favorite combos for a night out with my girl would have to be Maggianos at Fashon Show Mall and then heading across the street to the Wynn to Tryst. Its a phenominal night out. Or there is always Nove at the palms and then heading upstairs to Playboy club and then Moon. Another good combination would be having a little sushi or dinner next to the koi pond at TAO and then heading upstairs to TAO Nightclub There is also the amazing view that MIX at The Hotel (Mandalay Bay) has you can enjoy a nice dinner the nightlife isn't outta control and they have some nice views and a small dancefloor if your not into being extremely crammed into a small space. Sometimes choosing the place that isnt the most hopping place is a good thing especially when your not looking to drop massive coin. I hope I steered you in the right direction.

Thanks for the info. I really want to go to TAO but (correct me if I'm wrong) I believe it is dark from Sun-Wed. Also a night out dining somewhere at the Wynn and then heading over to Tryst sounds right up our alley. How is XS for a couple?

Also when I said "I'm not rolling in the dough" I should have said that I don't have a problem dropping a few bills for a night out, but unless I'm with a group, I would not be happy spending a wad of cash on a bottle.

Since your going from Sun to Wed I'm assuming your big nights would be Sunday night and Monday night. That being said for Sunday Body English is a popular spot as well as The Bank.... The forum members will probly steer you more towards Bank.

If you do Bank it's inside of the Bellagio so there are plenty of nice restaurants where you can enjoy a nice dinner. Since it's only you and your girl it should be easier to hit up a host from this site and tell them you got their info from this site and you wanted to see about getting on the guestlist and/or walked in. Also be sure to let them know you'll take care of them... Since it's only 2 of you i think $50 should be enough.... What does everyone else think?

Monday you can hit up either Tryst or XS, I forget which one is closed Mondays, but you can do the same thing. Find a retaurant at Wynn or Encore and then hit up a host from the site and do what you did the night before.

If it's not too late, there is one suggestion I would make for dinner prior to the clubs -- Spago's, located in the Caeser's Forum. It's a nice restaurant with great decor and it's affordable, unlike some of the top restaurants in Vegas. I see that Chappstick suggested Magianno's, which is good, but it's a chain you can get anywhere, whereas Spago's (or any other Wolfgang Puck restaurants) aren't so easy. But that's just me.

I kept walking by that one and wanted to eat there but never did. Now I regret it.
