Is Freemont worth the cab Fare

When I head over in May is it worth sneeking off to check out Fremont street to see the show and have a few cocktails.

Its definitely not the glitzy side of Vegas. If you want some good kick back drunken fun with the old folks, then thats the place to be. Not exactly a clubbing hot spot.

I think its worth it just to grab a few cheap cocktails and see it, like royale said you wont be partying in clubs up there and its not the nest but you can enjoy yourself, and of you really dont want to spend the cab fare you could get on the duece (a bus)for a few bucks and take it up there and boy is that an experience!!

i actually had a good time on freemont. Thats actually where I ended up being when I turned 21, and i had alot of fun. Its some of the best people watching ive ever seen, like everyone else said its not a club scene though.

Both times Ive gone have been to gamble/drink. It was alot of fun, BUT I wouldnt go for anything else.

We went for some drinks, a little gambling and a good laugh....it felt like a different world over there...very strange!

I'd say go check out the Binion's Cowgirls.

Downtown is definitely worth a vist. Visit the classics like Binions and the Golden Nugget..

Downtown is fun as hell for gambling and cheap drinks along with people watching! The Freemont experience is pretty cool too, I'd say if you go to Vegas a lot you should at least spend one night or half a night checking it out. But like everyone said, don't go there for the clubs, just the cheap drinks!

Always worth a trip just to grab a drink in Downtown Cocktail lounge...... If you can find the way in!
