  • how far ahead do you contact clubs about guest list,

    Hey!
Just wondering how far ahead do you usually contact hosts for guestlist reservations? I'm going halloween weekend. Usually I contact a couple days ahead, but just wondering what everyone else does.

honestly, its best to contact the day of or the night before for guestlists. I would email ahead of time to make sure the host still works at that location and kind of tell them the dates you are interested so you are aware if there are any special events. Those days guestlists are closed. XS Fri/Sat are always closed.

      thanks for your reply!
Umm, is halloween considered a special event??

why do you say that it's best to contact the day of? is it because they might forget if it's a week in advance?

Halloween I would say approach Fri/Sat with caution. However Thurs/Mon, the guestlist should still be available. It was for me when I went to Tryst last year on a Thurs (halloween). Double check with the host ahead of time.

To be honest, in my experience yes. They do forget if its too far ahead of time, or the list isn't available and you just won't get a response to your text. Always use text the night before or day of for best results.

oh crap, it never occured to me that there would be no guestlist available.. How is the best way to get in without having to line up much?? I don't want to be an early bird.. we're gonna have guys in our group so it's not like we're all girls.
what time should we get there? ohh, I hate lines..

Not wanting to be an early bird is strike #1 as far as getting in. Strike #2 is definitely having guys in your group. The rule of thumb is 3 girls to 1 one guy if you want them to get in with you on the guestlist party. PS. Even checking on the guestlist, chances are you will have line up since its a holiday weekend.

+1 on being an early bird - I actually quite like it getting in at the open since you can can easily order [if applicable], talk a little bit easier with your friends, meet others a bit easier, section off where you're going to be for the night [well, until you wander or go to the dance floor, so... uh, good for the first hour?]. "Fashionably late" really only applies if the people there are expecting you...

haha fashionably late... that only works out here in LA. Fashionably f*cked is more like it in Vegas.

I'm just wondering, If I go with a local, does it make a difference?

probably yes!! they usually give preference to locals so that may def help.

The local will probably have no probs getting in, but it depends if they have any pull with the club to get a huge party in. A group of girls is always no problems.

Its always good to do it a couple days before and make it a point to have an equal girl/ guy ratio or for better results a higher girl to guy ratio. If your a girl, your golden especially if your with a group. If your a group of DUDES well your gonna be shit outta fucking luck. So make yourself a little challenge. When I first started going out in Vegas I would make it a point to find a couple girls during the day at pool clubs or just out and about to go out to the clubs with that night. Nothing says that you have to stay with them the whole night. But they increase your luck and look when getting into most clubs in Vegas. So get out there and find some ladies to go with!
