Sandwich at HRH any luck

Just wondering if anyone had any luck sandwiching at the Hard rock hotel. Iam going on Haloween weekend we got a new fantasy tower room overlooking the hills could we get upgraded more ? and if so how much would be the sandwich

I used the trick when I went to the Hard Rock last summer. We had booked the cheapest room at HR, which is a mountain view room. When I checked in, I went to a clerk, gave him the sandwich and asked for a free upgrade. He checked the system, told me there were no available suites, but he could upgrade me to a pool view room, which was fantastic as it was the first weekend of Rehab. If it worked then, I'd assume you'll have no problem with it, although Im not sure how much they can upgrade you from your suite, and you may have to offer a 50 spot to get it. If you're gonna try it, just look for a younger clerk (mid 20's) who will be more willing to bend the rules, and be discrete with the sandwich.
