Just go with a Jack Russell Terrier... Cats are too cold.

I say dog me personally pitbull. I know they get a bad rep but I dont care. I love those dogs there so loyal to their owner. Smart, strong, and believe it or not playful. Here's some pics of one of mine when he was 9 months.

I swear feels like the last few nights we've been everywhere and back but I just cant remember it all

depends on what the cat looks like.. if it's like that white princess cat in those cat food commercials, it's kinda weird..
if it's adopted from a humane society/spca, extra points..
make sure you give it a really cool name.. princess, fifi, etc, sound bad..
There's this guy that me and my friends couldn't really stand. He's cocky and annoying, etc, but then we went to a party at his place, and we found out he had a cat. totally made me look at him in a better light.. it made him seem more down to earth, and showed he had a soft side.
If you get a dog, a medium to large sized dog is good, especially a mutt... please not those toy dogs.. it's just weird.. i don't like guys with toy dogs, it seems like they bought it just to pick up women.

Personally i am a dog lover. Cats are too independent and dont help you in the ladies department at all. They stay home and when you get back they just look at you while your having sex. Dogs you can take outside to parks and meet people. I have a golden retriever and you have no idea the amount of people you meet with a dog. And if you do get a dog get one (like someone else said) that is medium to large size. If your a single guy and you get a little dog your looked at as a weirdo. Also little dogs have a Nepolian complex and tend to be more aggressive towards other dogs. The sex of the dog doesnt matter. Male dogs tend to be more active, but female dogs are great as well. If you have a female its not weird, it could just tell people you have a soft side which isnt bad. Go with a dog and get a good sized one. Heres a picture of mine.

Now tell me that face doesnt get girls attention

is there a reason you wanted a female vs. a male? i love male animals even though i'm a girl. not sure why. typically i think it's weird if a guy has a cat vs a dog but then i ended up dating a guy with a cat so of course it was okay...point is, i don't think it should matter.
lets all show off our pets

Wow. You all managed to say somewhat on topic. Could it be that small cute animals are threadjacker kryptonite?
Anyway, I'm going to be moving into an apartment or a basement room in someone's home. Plus, I'm on campus a lot for school. So my time and space are somewhat limited. I don't know how viable it'd be for me to care for something high-maintenance like a large dog. That's kind of why I'm gravitating toward a cat. But I'm open to whatever. I had been thinking about getting a ferret, but they're apparently illegal in DC. I'll just see what happens when I go to the shelter. The only winning move is not to play.

I understand you going for a cat in that respect, but just incase you think about a dog dont think that smaller dogs are less maintenance than larger dogs. In my opinion smaller dogs are higher maintenance. They have smaller bladders so they have to go out more often. They dont walk as fast as you do so your either going at a crawl or your carrying them in your purse or satchel. If your going to be out of the house larger dogs can hold themselves longer.Originally posted by BarrelO View PostWow. You all managed to say somewhat on topic.
