Through with Body English

So, I'd decided to give Body English another shot on my next trip (second weekend of October). Was put in charge of setting up bottle service for a group of 10 on Friday night and got set up with a host at Body English.

Had a buy two get one free set up and confirmed. Now, for the past couple of weeks when I've sent final details and to double check, I can't get a response. So, late last week I contacted another host and explained what had happened (didn't use the other host's name because I didn't want to throw them under the bridge, but made it clear I'd be happy to get more specific if the new host thought I was trying to run a game). Anyway, Host #2 says that he can do the same deal no problem.

Now, he's neglecting to return emails (and one voice mail) to confirm.

If they can't do the deal we originally agreed upon, that's fine. But, at least have the balls to man up and admit that you erred in agreeing to the deal in the first place.

I guess this is why the clubs at Hard Rock seem to be struggling lately. Crap customer service.

Looks like I'm looking elsewhere now. Likely going to try Moon (not because it's my first choice, Tryst is, but because that's what the rest of the group wants). Anybody got a solid host there they can recommend?

I think the only time you need to give them long term notice is when its a holiday or major event. I would try your host again next Thursday and I'm sure you will get a favorable response.

I hear you and understand. Unfortunately, when you are in charge of planning for 10 people, it's not always so easy to just let it ride like that. I need answers ahead of time for planning reasons and so that I can have a plan B ready if something backfires.

When I was younger, it didn't bother me. But, trying to put together a night for a group of folks with husbands/wives, kids and stuff like that.......They want stuff set in stone well ahead of time. Can't say that I blame them. For 70-80% of people on this trip, it's a rare getaway from real life with lots of responsibility so the less they have to stress in knowing what the plan is, the better.

that sucks ricky.....are the hosts from this site? give us names and maybe we can help you out...I understand you dont want to throw them under the bus but dont be shy to name them cause A. it will help people out here know who to deal with and not to deal with B. maybe we can help you get in touch with the host OR a competent host C. maybe the host or someone higher up will see it and help cure the problem or even the actual host may read it and come out of hiding. we are here to help, ad Im sure we will be able to help, let us know who the hosts that youre referring to are. I hate to see this shit, its their GD jobs and they act like kids. I know the position youre in, I feel you man.

Another question. What would an appropriate tip to the host be for a party of 9? I've done table service plenty of times, but never in a group larger than three or where more than one bottle was involved. At least not when I was paying....LOL.
