Weekends to avoid

I doubt this will surprise any of you, but my crew and I had a blast during our trip, even though the Venetian took all of our money.

We are currently planning our trip for next summer, and obviously, don't want to arrive only to find expensive hotel rooms, high table minimums, etc.

Which weekends are the worst for traveling to Vegas? We have already vetoed the NCAA Final Four, NBA Finals, and Independence Day. Does anyone know any others to avoid?

MDW, LDW, UFC or fight weekends.... I think that's about it. I know if you go for a weekend after one of those weekends then you should be able to get kick ass deals!

ufc typically coordinates their fights with big weekends, like super bowl and new years eve....def try to avoid super bowl if possible

super bowl for sure. Days like MDW, LDW you can kind of work around by adding a few days during the week to party.

actually the first weekend of the march madness ncaa basketball tourney is much busier than the final 4. the 1st & 2nd round games draw a lot more action. other than the dates the others mentioned, the summer weekends are pretty mild and inexpensive.
