You try and offer someone sage advice about Vegas and refer them to this site just to have them say, "Oh really... its ok, I have a friend of a friend who knows people that can help us out." It's like, "well fuck you then!" lol

Last night I went to Blockbuster to pick up a movie and I was shooting the shit with one of the employees about my trip over LDW and how epic it was when one of his co-workers comes up and starts talking about how he's going for his 21st bday and his uncle gambles a lot and is getting a penthouse for him and his friends. I was like, sounds cool! Let me offer you some advice, which was check out this site and you'll be set. Then he starts talking about how his uncle has casino hosts who say they will take care of him and he's getting bottles everywhere cause of that and how his friends friend knows someone who's going to take care of him. Pretty much blah blah blah and he tells me he's only saved up like $1k and his trip is 2 weeks away. I kinda laughed at him and said good luck getting bottles and all that with $1k!

Has anything like that ever happen to anyone else?

One of the first steps in becoming a better person is to listen to ideas and advice you get. I believe you can never do enough research or planning when it comes to big events like a Vegas trip. Ask advice, read threw the forums, read what others think and their experinces. I know this site helped me big time when I was down there last week.

In a mean kinda way, I hope Vegas hits him hard and he lost

That crap happens a lot. I try to be the nice guy and share my contacts with people but every now and then a douchebag comes in who is a Vegas Virgin (VV) and swears he knows whats up.

There have been plenty of times those VV's have called me while standing in line in Vegas asking me to give them a number or to call someone up for them or to figure out how to get them in.
