I have been to Vegas during the "off season" on countless occasions. The best game plan really is to live a nocturnal schedule. During the day you just sleep and eat, but at night you make sure you do it up good. You start your evening off at a pregame joint, the move on to your main club and then close it out with an after hours club. You will probably spend your morning and afternoons asleep.. but that will maximize your party time.

There's plenty to do in the winter months - go visit the desert, hike/climb at Red Rock Mts, go skydiving, ziplining... Or the whole football/gamble things others have said. I agree with royale - not having to get up early makes the nightlife experience easier on the system!

I found this nice condo down a few blocks from Angels Stadium / Pond in Orange. Its called Orange Park Acres.. they got a couple of properties in Orange hills as well.
