guestlist question - tipping

Sorry if this has been asked before.. the last few times I went to Tao or Tryst, I contacted a VIP host and just asked them to put us on guestlist. I don't get a bottle, I just don't want to line up or pay cover. I notice at Tao, once there, they don't bother asking me my name to confirm I'm on a list, but at Tryst, they need it to waive the cover charge. Am i expected to tip the person that put me on the list? and how would I do that? call them once I get there? the reason I ask is that I'm going back for Halloween, and I don't want them to snub me thinking I'm some cheapass or whatever cause I never tipped them. I just wasn't sure of the protocol..

The person from Tao called me the next day to make sure I had a good time, and to let me know they put us on the guest list for tao beach as well. Was that some kind of hint that I should be tipping.
and how much am I supposed to tip.. I'm female, not sure if that makes any difference.

Since your a girl, I wouldnt worry about it too much. If you see them, and fell the urge to tip, Im sure they will take it. Who was the host? Sounds like you had some good service.

Patrick Frank is cool. I guarantee you that you saw him when you walked in to Tryst. You just didnt know it was him.

At Tao, theres no telling who it was.

Its really up to you. Its always helpful to try and meet the host face to face, in case you ever have issues. Especially, since you go to Vegas alot.

also, I talked to some guy at wet republic that told me to call him when I got close by, and he would come out and meet me
and walk us in.. I guess that's basically a hint that I should give a tip. someone outside ended up just giving us some passes, so I never ended up calling the guy at Wet Republic, but how much should i have tipped if I didn't get the pass? the cost of admission??

but in the case of patrick and the host at Tao, it was just, okay, you've been added to the list..nothing like "text me and I'll come get you". I like to take care of people that help me.. but don't exactly want to insult someone with a tip that's not appropriate..

I would only tip if I see the host that put me on the guestlist. The problem is that I usually don't know how they look like unless I get introduced to them by one of the JC members. Several of my gf's hook ups are bartenders, so I would buy drinks with them and include a 100% gratuity on top. They usually like that.
