Issue a mod need input on

As everyone knows, there are some of us that have become friendly and built relationships with hosts outside of just getting tables and entrance to our favorite venues. Now here is my issue, I dont mind helping members out when they are in dire straights and Ill put in a personal text or call to my hooks, and I have done this on several occasions BUT i recently got a PM from a member asking for help and when I researched their status I discovered that the person looking to get helped out had ZERO posts. I just feel that people should pay their dues before getting helped out, what say you? should I help the guy out, or should we make him come out of the shadows and proove that he deserves it?

I completely agree. I get the same requests with my supreme elite Yelp reviews on vegas clubs/pool parties..and they are like.. "So who walked in you in? Whos guest list..?"

I just tell em.. oh I got all my info from JackColton.com. Make sure you sign up for the forum Mofos gotta earn dem stripes, besides my gf and I have our own stash of contacts aside from this site I don't mind sharing with the Vets.

I agree. This site has always been intended as a resource to inform and give people the best contacts that can reasonably be given to help them maximize their trip. No doubt about it. But there is a point where new readers / members can't really expect a "hook up" if they really haven't done anything to deserve it.

Kind of reminds me of the hoards of Californians who magically only remember my number at 11:30pm while standing in a club line on a holiday weekend, haha.

I think its a bit rude to ask when they obviously haven't had any contact with you in the past. Plus they have the option to use the contacts already listed on the site.

I agree that you shouldn't spill out all the beans, but I wouldn't agree with telling them to post more and then they can get a reward. Maybe just a nudge, like royale said, towards the boards and then they can search, read, learn, and hopefully post to become a part of community here.
