  • Halloween Bday party, I need advice

Hey gang! I'm throwing a 30th Birthday party for my wife on Halloween and would really like to get bottle service at one of the Palms Clubs. I'm expecting a group of 10-12 people, mostly girls. I've been in contact with JC host Shawn Olyaie and he's been great and very helpful. He quoted me a price of $375 plus tax and gratuity per every 4 people which I thought was cool. However, Wantickets is selling Palm VIP tables for 4 for $510 (tip and gratuity included) plus a $40 service fee, which I am equally cool with. I figure I could get 2-3 of these online and be done with it.

    Questions:

    1. Has anyone ever booked a table through Wantickets?

    2. Has anyone ever used Mr. Olyaie?

    3. Is it possible to pay for the whole deal in advance?

Any insight, advice would be greatly appreciated. I really enjoy following you guys on this forum, it's like TMZ for Vegas!

p.s., I've been to Vegas a few times before but never done the bottle thing.

Important question: who/what will you be dressing up as?

I have heard good things from Dnix booking one of those VIP packages through Wantickets. Both of my transactions where I bought line passes at Tao and Wet Republic have been pretty smooth. They really do take care of you.

HA! No costume for me. I thought about dressing up as the Kanye West bear but my wife talked me down from that ledge. So I'll just be regular me

Cool. Do you think if I booked through Wan I could request the JC contact as my host? He's been really helpful and I don't want to cut him out of the gratuity/fee that they include in the ticket price.

Hmm, you could still be Kanye. Just run to other tables at random intervals during the night and say, "Hey guys, I'm really happy for you, I'ma let you keep partying, but my wife's party is one of the best tables of all time! All time!"

I m sure as long as that host works for the venue you can make a request for him. But the thing is , some JC hosts are not present on site on the day of your event. You might book through them and get handed off to someone else. I don't see any harm done by requesting one though.

I'd use Shawn. I know him personally, and wouldn't risk wantickets pushing me off on to a jr. Host. If you decide to use him, let me know, and I'll give him a call, and make sure your taken care of.

Royale Ive always booked tables through host. Not sure where my miscommunication was. Sorry bro.

Ok guys, I just heard back from Shawn and he said he'd take care of everything, just hit him up a week before and he'll fax me a credit card authorization form to secure the table. No need to go through Wantickets.

I know people don't usually book tables in advance but with my wife and her friends I can't guarantee I can make it by 11:30 or whatever. It's like herding cats!

I'll keep you posted on my trip and try to get more active on the board. Thanks again!
