Is it Possible to not go bankrupt going to Vegas

Hey guys,

Planning my 21st bday weekend.... I am looking at these bar tabs and its making me -_-. I am a college student, so I need to know relatively, how much is 500 ml of vodka in terms of shots. Forgive the newbiness. I never bothered finding out, just taking shots of Kamchaka and Natty Light. I can handly maybe 7-8 shots before buzzed, and 10-12 = massive drunk.

I run my own online business, so i can afford the splurge but spending $1000 on a night out!?!? I can go to Europe and party and come back for that price!

My roommate CLAIMS that his good friend's parents run real estate investment firm in Vegas, and has connections to half the clubs in vegas, if not own a share of them... I dunno if he is bsing or not... but he has been persitent about going to vegas. Problem is im not 21 until Saturday night.... but he wants us 3 to go to Vegas anyway before that.

He also claims the same guy's fiancee owns a significant share of a casino (cant name in public) in Vegas...

I know it sounds outrageous, but doing some research it seems like its panning out.... he claims the same guy was an olympic boxer, which turns out he's listed on the site...

Now I am wondering, if all these connections are true, do bouncers check the real "VIP" line ID? I've been to a few true VIP lines, and they never checked, but i dunno how vegas is. Are there "Excise" or anyone who ask for ID once INSIDE?!?

I've gotten in to clubs/bars before without getting ID checked, usually through connections, but always worried about getting busted by "excise". Or is vegas door so strict no need for "excise".

In Monaco and Stockholm they never bothered checking, and even if they did, since its 18+, they just wiff at it and dont bother even checking the dates. I have partied in New York before, but it was with a business partner exclusive, so I got by security checks without a tussle.

Basically, I am scared shitless I am gonna get a drinking ticket, cause I have never gotten one, and it would go straight to my parents who would be pissed beyond their mind.

Also, i've been to Vegas when I was a litle kid. Remember those porn people, i thought they were shady and was scared of them!

I think everyone here will confirm, that everytime Ive gone to vegas i have been id'd and Im 32...even when going VIP you get proofed.......ive gone in with celebrities whos gf's didnt have their id and had problems, so these hooks better be HUGE....but you wont get a beer ticket theyll just ask you to leave.

You will get carded. Just go when your 21. Yes it's possible not to go bankrupt. You can have a great time almost anywhere in Vegas. You don't need to go to the hippest spots and roll VIP style every night. You can hang out at various casino bar/lounges. Roam around the strip. Bring your own booze. Go early to clubs, score some free passes here and there to less popular places, etc.

Unless your a celebrity or a local, I wouldn't try it. There's just no way around being IDed, without being brought through a secret entrance. Good luck with that.

I've meet locals who claim to have bad azz hooks ups, and still couldn't get around the ropes. If your friends connections work out. Great. But I'd have a back up plan.

On a serious note. I understand the predicimen your in. I would just chill untill your 21 years old. The clubs no matter how hooked up you are don't want to risk getting fined ie PRIVE for an underage drinker or an underage Male drinker so I would chill out till your 21. I have honestly never seen a dude use a fake ID in Vegas and had the bouncer not question it.

Yea, if you aren't 21.. just come back when you are. Its not that fun being underage and in Vegas. I have been there before at that age.. theres only so much you can do in the family pool with a bunch of screaming kids. Or have the full on circus-circus experience

I've stayed at circus-circus 4 or 5 times in my day and let me tell you, that adventure dome is a blast! My parents would typically drop us off for the day and then go gambling. Some of the days we would grab some pizza at the pizzaria and head to the arcade. AMAZING! 2 floors of gaming including carnival games that were quite reasonable to win (even more so if you picked up the coupon books giving 2 for 1 play)!! I came home numerous times with garbage bags full of stuffed animals.

I doubt it. If you are 18, its probably going to be a fine that needs to be paid. I don't think they issue tickets.. they will just kick you off their venue and possibly ban.

yes but the problem is you can literally get carded just walking thru a casino so its the worry all the time factor not just when you go out to a club!

I went to vegas last summer to do some business with this poker player named Dutch Boyd during the WSOP. He always bought the booze and they never ID'd me so i thought be easier to get in to clubs, but I guess at hotel bars they are lax or something.

EDIT: I never got a drinking ticket, so I'd assume they send it to where my DL address said, which would be my parents house.... or do you just pay for it and that's it?!
