From desert to desert - 1st timer to vegas needs some help!!
Hey guys, been browsing this board a bit over the last few days, some great and fun info here!
Well, I'm heading down to Vegas from Dubai and its my first time so would really appreciate some advice from you guys. There are a few questions so please bear with me
I'll be down in Vegas (with the Missus) from Sept 22-26. We're very keen to hit the pool scene and some nightlife as well. Based on what people are saying here, I've thought of the following schedule for the trip. We're staying at the MGM Grand by the way (we love to walk so no big deal with location). We're basically into RNB and House music mostly.
Tuesday - Pure at Night, PCD Lounge
Wed - Body English at Night (or any other good club??) & Wet Republic during Day
Thursday - Tao at Night and trying to decide on a European Style Pool during the day (what do you suggest, Tao Beach, Mandalay Bay, or some other one - is Go Pool at Flamingo any good)??
Friday - Ditch Palm Party during Day and Ghost Bar/Playboy Lounge & ??? (any suggestions)?
What do you all think of the schedule above? Any comments or tips would be helpful!
Now a few questions (some might seem silly but oh well):
1. For the pool paties I noticed they all start at around 11 am, but can we enter earler (assuming you are not a hotel guest)? Is there any issues for a couple to get in?
2. When you are in line do you need to be in your swim wear already or do you change once at the pool?
3. For the pool parties, if you rent a daybed, does that mean you dont wait in line AND dont pay any cover? How much tip do you guve usually, 15-20% or is it added to your bill automatically?
4. Can you pay with credit/debit cards at the pools, or do you need cash only?
5. What's the deal with the hosts? How much do you guys usually tip/pay them to get you in? What do they do exactly? This is in reference to pools and clubs...
6. Ive heard about some wristbands for the Palm. Are these worth it and do they let you bypass line and no cover? Do girls usually pay cover too normally?
7. How can we get into the Pussy Cat Dolls Lounge at Pure, we would really like to see it!
8. On that count, what time is best to reach the clubs at night? Say we hope from one club to the next, Im assuming there will be a big line. Bottle service doesnt make sense for 2 people, so how else can be bypass line or avoid 2 hours waiting time?
9. How about strip clubs, missus hasnt been to one and want to go to a classier one, where they are women friendly yknow maybe get her a lap dance
A mate has also told me to get the taxi driver to take you there for free and reduce the cover charge a bit since they get paid a lot to take tourists there.. is this true?
10. Is Voodoo lounge any good, or can you suggest any other nice clubs, after hour places with good crowds?
11. Any tips to get an upgrade at MGM Grand?
