I had been speaking to a representitive at Pure for some time working out details for bottle service and the whole time we were speaking he said we could get buy two get one.
Then when i say ok great we got six guys we're coming for sure, he says "actually i can't comp you a bottle, that's Mexican Independence day."
I checked and its not the actual day (Sept. 12th) its actually wednesday or something.
Anyway he says that night is one of the busiest of the year... Is he playin me?

Mexican independence day is 9/16... I've been to Vegas around that time before and it didn't seem to be any more packed than other times... Is this a listed JC contact?

Really... bigger than Cinco de Mayo.. wow? I was there in '04 on that night... I remember a bunch of drunken dudes walking around the strip shirtless waving big Mexican flags, but that was all that really stood out that I remember with regards to mexican independence.

He seemed pretty genuine that he could no longer honour that deal. But, it did sound like a pretty half assed excuse when he said it...

Oh yea.....there are usually a bunch of Mexican-oriented concerts in all the arenas, specials in all the restaurants, etc. Definitely a holiday you probably have to be Mexican to really care too much about. (haha), but definitely notches up the nightclub table demand a bit.

Well in San Diego it's definatly a big deal being so close to the border and heavily populated with mexicans. I know in all parts of Mexico they have huge fares and all that stuff and it gets crazier when the prez does the speech, you got people yelling out "Viva Mexico!!!!!" it's actually pretty awesome!

In Miami when anything happens in Cuba of importance half the city shuts down and all the Cubans take to the streets banging pots and pans all day. Guess they dont know about Vegas.

I think that there is many times a big boxing match on that weekend in Vegas as well. That probably adds to the crowds.
