meh, I was gonna wait till halloween to hit up vegas again but I have all this shit from mgm for free/discounted flight and rooms that expires at the end of the month so i figured i may as well put them to use. gonna go at the end of the month mainly just to grind the live pokers+clubs+rhino. how do i access that calendar thing that lists other board members who'll be in town around then?

also, I realize this isn't the right forum for it but can I get some reviews/thoughts on the other MGM properties?
Mirage, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Monte Carlo, Excalibur

I've never stayed at a hotel other than the B and I've never experienced the rooms at any of these places so I thought I'd try something different this time, I mean why not it's free.

The calendar's here - Just post the dates you're staying in this thread and I'll update the calendar.

As for MGM properties, I've only stayed at two - NYNY and the Mirage. I think the Mirage is the best since it's a nice hotel, definitely affordable, and is center strip. Plus, it's easy to do the $20 Trick there, unlike many other MGM properties. I'd stay away from the Excalibur. LAX & Mandalay Bay are too far down south on the Strip for my tastes. Monte Carlo? I guess it's ok, but never stayed there. MGM has some good review and is cheap, buy still quality.

to clarify, i'm not paying for it so I just want the nicest place...however if the consensus is that the other properties are well below the level of the bellagio then i'll just return to my home away from home

Yeah, none of the properties have what the Bellagio can offer since that's one of the top tier hotels on the strip. If you're looking for Bellagio quality... Hrm... Maybe the suites at the Mirage or Monte Carlo (they just opened theyr new "Hotel32", but I doubt they'd be included in the offer)

My vote would be for Mandalay Bay. They've got some pretty nice sized rooms over there.

I'd have to go with TheHotel @ Mandalay Bay. I've stayed there 4 times and love it.

Also, my one friend always stays at one of the Signatures Towers @ MGM and he raves about it.

I stayed at Mandalay Bay in July, and I wasn't too impressed. The room was very nice, because we had a comped suite, but other than that I thought the hotel was pretty blah. If you don't plan on spending much time at the hotel itself and don't mind getting a cab everywhere you want to go, then Mandalay would probably be fine. It just didn't appeal to me because there were too many kids/families/old people there. I've stayed at MGM several times and I have enjoyed it less and less each time. Its too crowded and the rooms are nothing special as far as I am concerned. MGM is my fave casino however, but I don't see myself staying there again. Hope this helps...
