  • 21st birthday

well i'm heading to vegas in mid august to celebrate my 21st birthday. i just started browsing the internet for fun looking at clubs and stuff and was hit with a bunch of info i had no idea about, bottle service, etc. so i had a couple of questions. im going with my family and my best friend, so it will just be me and her hitting the bars at night. is bottle service (i think thats what its called, im going to feel like an idiot if its not) highly recommended? is that pretty much the only way you're going to get a table? also i know that most of my friends who have already celebrated their 21st have gotten free drinks from bars they've gone to. is that the norm in vegas or are they so used to people celebrating their birthdays that its not that big a deal. i had a friend go for hers a few months ago and she got VIP treatment when she mentioned it was her birthday. we're two young, good looking girls (if i do say so myself) and i don't think we'll have trouble getting in places but it wouldn't hurt to have some drinks bought for me either. i'd just like to know what the vibe is for 21sts. also a nice hotel to stay at? id like a fun place with a nice pool but nothing to crazy for my family. thanks!

    cdub,

you are going to love it. what I would suggest since it is just two of you going out at night is to let the doorman know that your celebrating your bday and they will prob at least comp your cover charge and once inside you can just find a table of guys that i am sure will let you share in their bottle. if it is your first visit to vegas you will probably want to stay on the strip and depending on the family budget I would suggest venetian or wynn which are a little pricier or mirage, TI which are fun and not too expensive all of which have great pool scenes and are nice clean fun hotels where you can walk to pretty much everything. Enjoy and report back.
it's that time again, let's get #28 gentleman....for the boss

I would say you do NOT need bottle service seeing as how you are 2 females and likely attractive! I would however suggest letting the doorman know it is your bday. Or, once inside possibly find a group of guys looking for some pretty ladies at their vip tables and join their groups. Regardless, you wont have ANY trouble getting in and finding a few guys to buy you drinks on your 21st shouldnt be hard!! Enjoy

I'm going August 21-24, I have been there a few times and if I were you I would stay at Flamingo. I stayed there last year when I went as well as the year prior. It has a great location and is cheap. You can get the go rooms they are newly refinished. The pool at Flamingo is cool as well, it was a younger crowd when I was there last year. Another nice and cheap hotel is TI. As was previously mentioned bottle service usually isn't necessary for girls. You shouldn't have any problem getting in as long as you are dressed appropriately.
