  • Got a large group of guys for LDW and need some clubbing advice...

So I have about 8 guys 3 girls looking to club Sat night. Basically the way I see it we don't have many options. We either have to all stand in line and pay cover (which sounds like it'll be extremely expensive judging from what I've been reading) or get table service.

I called up a host at JET and he said that for every 4 people I need to purchase 1 bottle (of liquor I'm assuming? Sorry kinda a vegas noob:P) and that we wouldn't need to wait in line or pay cover.... So naturally I'm wondering if I can just purchase 1 bottle say the table is for 4 people and try to bring in my friends... Or would it be smarter to just have everyone try to pay cover (the guy told me it would be $40/head).

I'm also looking into things like this:

Does this mean for every person who buys this in my party we don't need to pay cover? Might this be a more economical way of getting into a club? I'm not really sure what "General Admission" means so I don't know if we'll still have to wait in line or tip someone or etc.

Any input or suggestions are welcomed!

Thanks all and I look forward to frequenting these boards more in the future!

You dont wanna do studio 54... I hear its lame. I'd hit up Jet with at least 2 bottles for your 8 guys. If you really dont wanna do bottles then you'd probly be looking at about $70-100 to grease your way inside but depending on how much bottles are going for your probly better off with them

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll cross studio 54 off of our list but what about "Lavo"? We are staying at The Palazzo so it would be pretty nice to just be able to walk downstars and goto this club.

Do these tickets only get me to the front of the line, where I would need to pay an additional cover? Also is there a possibility that I could get preferential treatment since I'm already staying at the hotel?

      THanks,

          THanks,
If you're staying at the hotel, call up your concierge - usually, they can get you passes.

I appreciate the concierge advice; I called and they said they could put our names on the "guest list"

That would be good for getting to the front of the line right? Once I'm there I still need to pay for cover charges correct? Is it feasible to get like 8 guys in just paying cover or do I definitely need girls? We're willing to line early or do whatever's necessary to keep the cost down.

            Thanks,

Lavo is a little too small for that many guys and no bottle service. If you are getting bottle service, then I'd say go for it. Otherwise its going to be too packed. This is a club where theres hardly any dance floor, and all tables around.

lets talk reality....I was at lavo laast week, I would NOT do table service there, but its a cool little spot to hang. with 8 people youre going to drink at least 2 bottles, id just go to Jet get 2 bottles, no covers for anyone and itll be cheaper than paying cover and buying drinks. option 2 is get one table with 1 bottle say its for 4 peeps, then tell your host that you have 4 people that just want entry not a table and they will usually take care of you and let them in but being real your going to order a 2nd bottle just get the 2 bottles from the jump and avoid stress and headaches.
it's that time again, let's get #28 gentleman....for the boss

So what you're saying is that it's possible to just book 1 bottle/table for 4 people and then ask our host to bring in our additional friends under the condition that they won't be using the table? We would like to avoid ordering the second bottle if necessary to keep the costs lower.

Basically we're just all trying to get in with the lowest possible cost; we don't really need a table or bottle service as we're pretty content just pre-partying.

                  Thanks again for the help

that being the case what i would do is this: the 4 people going to the table go all together, as youre walking to your table just ask the host if he can help get some of your friends in without waiting in line....i dont think it will be a problem!

If that works it's a pretty genius idea!

As a general rule of thumb does this work pretty well? I would hate for half of my party to get left out of the club! Also would my friends still have to pay cover when being let in?
