I thought it said u could use it for any MGM group show as long as you book it using the concierge and I'm sure I read on yelp or trip advisor someone sayin they had used it for the dolphin show at the mirage.

Anyone done the card yet?
Im tempted to go for it when I go in a couple of weeks.
Free entry to Wet is nice, but Id prefer just skipping the line instead. I dont see anything about that though.
That, plus 2 for 1 drinks+entrees, probably even use it for Studio 54. (i know that placed is laughed at here, but Ive had a lot of good times there)
We''ll be there for 5 nights for 3/4guys, so it should be easy to spend that much even without trying.
Ive heard though that they rarely upgrade to a suite, and it is only applied to MGM Grand expenses.

I'll be heading to the MGM for 2 1/2 days and I'm gonna do this just for the 2 for 1 drinks at the bars... think about it... You meet a good looking group of ladies and want to order a few rounds for them.... more bang for your buck... hopefully.... ;-)
Actually, I can spend $500 easily at the MGM in two days myself. Between a good massage at the spa, entry to WET (and the drinks at the pool), Dinner at Craftsteak and Diego's in two nights, drinks at the bar, cigars bought at their retail stores at MGM GRAND, the overpriced beer bought at the MGM and Company store for the room, room service and other luxuries.... seems to be a no-brainer to me.
Plus, i'll be there Mon-Thursday.. So i'm sure they'll upgrade the suite for me..

8 of us went down for easter long weekend and all did the prima package between 4 rooms... could not have worked out better.
the only issue was the actual logistics of having 4 accounts when we went out, if it was just one room it would have been easier.
2 of the rooms that got there earlier in the day got upgraded, and the other 2 got the 50$ credit.
we all easily cruised through the 500$ between drinks, dinners, and poolside cocktails. we were also able to charge things to our rooms at other MGM properties, and the lady who checked us in confirmed that this would be fine.
the premise of trying to keep more of your business on site definitely works, but it is well worth of for the perks of 2 for 1s

So this is confirmed..? You CAN use your Prima card at other MGM Mirage locations such as Mirage, Bellagio and such??? Is there a list of individual locations or venues that accept the card for payment?
If this is the case, it seems like a no brainer.
Damn.... I'm getting excited now.... I could do some SERIOUS DAMAGE with this card...

was the upgrade to a bungalow suite, or something better?
your right, this makes it a no-brainer.Originally posted by gperih View Postwe were also able to charge things to our rooms at other MGM properties, and the lady who checked us in confirmed that this would be fine.

i've called many times to confirm this, but supposedly this Prima card only works if you pay full price for your rooms.
So hence if you book through an email list deal, or players club card deal, or through orbitz or any of that sort, they won't let you do the Prima Promotion with it...
anybody have any experience that says otherwise? because i'm staying at MGM grand in Aug and would love to do this Prima thing

I have booked a room directly through MGM at a discount and was able to get the Prima deal. I am pretty sure the Prima is just something you can add on to any reservation, justs get have to pay the extra $500.

I booked a room through my players card/offer, got a very good deal, and there was no issue at all with adding Prima when I checked in.Originally posted by chrisl84pia View Posti've called many times to confirm this, but supposedly this Prima card only works if you pay full price for your rooms.

I highly recommend Prima. For us, we pretty much would have spent that $500 anyway, and this way, we got a suite, and free VIP entry in Tabu and Studio54 whenever we felt like it, and was able to bring in a friend each time as well. Add the 2for1 entrees and drinks, and its a no brainer if your staying at MGM and planning on spending some money there anyway.
