    Question for you savy alkies...

I was thinking about keeping a couple of bottles in the hotel room. But instead of buying it in Las Vegas (sounds expensive, from what I have been reading), I was thinking about buying it from duty free, since I am flying out of Buffalo NY anyway.

Are you allowed to carry bottles of liquor in your luggage? Normally people shop at duty free on the way back from their trip, but is it okay to buy it as I am leaving?

Don't do it if one of those bottles break your going to be washing clothes. Especially the way airlines are so carefull with everyones luggage.
I swear feels like the last few nights we've been everywhere and back but I just cant remember it all

I guess thats why all the Bills fans are in Toronto!

Not sure how it works from Canada, but if you get the duty free in Canada in the airport then they give it to you as your getting on the plane in a special box, then you can fly with it. But if you bring it to the airport yourself i dont think they let you take it.

Might as well be...! Whenever I hit up Walden Galleria or the Outlet Malls, 2/3rds of cars in the parking lots are Ontario plates

Well, normal procedure is this--when my trip is over, I land at the Buffalo airport, and pick up my car.. and just before we hit the border crossing, there is a Duty Free shop. And generally, the alcohol and tobacco are 50% price of what we find in Canada. So I will snatch up some things on the way back...

But now I am thinking... why not on the way there? I can still declare it on the way back... or not, if we drink it all lol

shoudn't break, if it is surrounded by clothes.. but i would put it in a big ziplock bag, just incase.

Oh vodka smells alright. The notion that it doesnt is so false the broken glass would rip the plastic bag. I dont know if i would take the chance.

When you get to Vegas go buy the liquor in Gold Coast and get the players card first for the 10% discount everyone is talking about.

Bottle of Grey Goose at the Gold Coast is approximately $26-$27 if I'm not mistaken --- $25 at the South Point.

From what i hear their prices are just the same as regular liquor store prices around the US. Like a 750 ml bottle of Goose would be like $28 or around there? At least thats what it costs in Miami. Then the 10% discount.

I havent been there yet but ill be going there next Thursday when i get in town for LDW. ill let you know how it works out. And i know some of the guys on here have used it before. Maybe they can elaborate.

                      what... that is insanely cheap!

at LCBO (that's our liquor store, Liquod Control Board of Ontario), it sells for about $50.

that's why everyone is sober in Ontario... nobody can afford to drink.

Liquor in Vegas isnt expensive. The best deals can be found at Terrible's Liquor store at the Orleans, Gold Coast or ABC Liquor Store at Fashion Show Mall. Look them up.. cab it or walk.

                            $50 for what size bottle?

Goose mainly comes in 3 sizes:

                            750 ml = $27 around
                            1 L = $35 around
                            1.75 L = $52 around

I know we use monopoly money, but come on... our government is greedy. Taxed to death.

That is probably why the popular weapons of choice for most people are Absolut, Skyy or Smirnoff.
