The Hotel upgrade

Staying at The Hotel at Mandalay Bay in The Suite. Was hoping to upgrade to a bigger room using the sandwich trick or just tipping upfront at check-in. Has anyone ever done this here or know the best way to do this?

Most of the standard rooms at The Hotel are fairly the same size. I think for standard rooms, they are the best deal on the strip.

After the standard rooms, you'll probably have to dish out some more money, in addition to the sandwich trick.

im staying there too... I dont think the $20 trick is going to help us much... doubt $20 will get us in a bigger room...im just hopping for a high floor, and view, anything else will be a bonus...

we always do the sandwich by committee...$5x4=$20 its worked decently about 50% of the time.

THEHotel was legit...You wont be disappointed with any of the suites, IMO. I personally wouldn't try the sandwich unless you don't care about the assumed $20-50. Just be up front and see what possible upgrades there are.
