  • Hello to all

Been reading posts for a week or so and decided to jump in and get a couple of questions answered. As my Username implies I am probably,(most assuredly), older than most of you!! I'm 53 and my wife is in her early 40's. We travel to Vegas occasionally on business/pleasure. We are not the party animals we once were but are not quite dead yet either!! LOL! We have a trip coming up soon,(23rd-27th), that will be purely pleasure so we will have some time for some fun. We are booked at Mandalay Bay. My wife loves to dance and enjoys the clubs. We are looking for a place to go out on Tuesday night. Since it's just us two I am not really interested in table service. We don't tend to stay until closing time and I can't justify the cost for just us two. Plus we may want to try to visit more than one place. In you guys opinions, what are our best bets? Are the lines really going to eat our time up?
We are going to Tau for dinner on Mon. afterwards going to LOVE. Sunday night we will probably hang around Mandalay Bay. Neither of us have ever been to Hoover Dam and she wants to go but all the tours I see are at least 4 hours. Any shorter tours ya'll know of. We don't want to be away from the pool too long. We will be squeezing in a little gambling and a little shopping and checking out some of the smaller clubs/resturants in some of the resorts. Thanks in advance.

were breaking down barriers welcome aboard, good to see we didnt scare you off. Being that its just the 2 of you going out you should be perfectly fine, the best place for dancing on a tues is probably PURE at caesars, or playoby moon at aplms, as long as you get there round 1015 you will have no problem getting in. Im not realy familiar with the tours Ive never done any but Im sure someone can help ya out. after love you should consider hitting up revolution which is not far from the love entrance its a nice little place to hang out, nothin too crazy. once again welcome aboard and dont stress about the lines youll be fine.

Thanks! We stayed at Mirage last year and went Revolution for a little while one night but it was kinda dead. We will try again. We wanted to check out Rum Jungle since we are staying there but it doesn't fit into our schedule. We heard Mix can be fun sometimes so we will try there as well. I got a feeling some of the smaller venues will be more of our cup of tea but one night we are definitely going large!!

avoid rum jungle like the plague, you will enjoy mix for the view BUT you absolutely have to go to foundation room one night for some drinks, its a great spot that used to be purely private but now its opened to the public. It will most likely be dead during the week except monday night, glad to hear that you guys want to go nuts youre never too old and def dont feel funny about being around a younger crowd out there, there are no friendlier crowds in the world as you already know!

Pure +1 on the Tuesday night. Even if you don't do bottles, it is a place that people that will go to a Las VEGAS club should see at least once.

Thanks for all the help!! Age is just a state of mind. I married late and still have teenagers which definitely helps keep you young. The only difference nowadays for us is that instead of planning the entire trip around partying, we plan the trips around partying only one night!!!

I forgot a couple of other things. One of my wife's girlfriends told her to go to a couple of bars at Harraha's Carnival Court. We went there a couple of years ago and all I remember is a piano bar. It was pretty funny but nothing too spectacular. Are there some new things to see there? Lastly, I am a massage nut. I read somewhere on line that the Las Vegas Nail Salon Hair and Day Spa on the strip was great. I know they are the best priced. Can anyone confirm that?

To be honest I don't really know much about Harrahs... I don't think there was anything in there enticing enough for me to step foot inside.. Sorry :/ Usually the chicks I know have their hair n stuff done already because they are on a tight pool party/ club schedule..

Thanks mayor! You got to remember...we ain't there to party ALL the time!! LOL. I was going to treat my wife to a pedicure, etc. while I get a hot stone massage and had heard the LV nail and salon was the best. Probably couldn't go wrong at the Mandalay where we are staying but us older folks are always looking for a bargain!!
