Wednesday:
We arrive in Vegas around 2:30ish. When we arrive at the Flamingo, they tell us that it'll take about an hour and a half to go thru. They let us check our bags, go explore and come back to check in. We end up walking up to the Venetian and Palazzo to look around and stop at Walgreens to load up on snacks and drinks. At this point it's about to be 5pm and we need to get ready to make it to the SpyonVegas open bar at 6
Since we need to eat quickly to allow us to make it to the open bar, we grab some McDonalds and head back to the hotel. Yeah, first night in Vegas and we choose McDonalds. It's not ideal but we were in a hurry. By the time we're done getting ready, it's after 7. We make it over to Heart Bar at Planet Hollywood and have their complementary Tyku and Ultimat cocktails.
9pm rolls around and the open bar at Heart Bar is wrapping up but ladies drink free at Mist starting at 9 so we go over there for a couple of drinks. By the time we're done at Mist, we're feeling beyond good. I can't recall exactly where we went after this. I do remember running into a wedding party and being invited by the bride to go to Cleopatra's Barge with them. They were hilarious so we walked to Ceasar's with them. For some reason, we ended up losing the wedding party and never finding Cleopatra's. I had no interest in going there anyways so that was quite alright. Next thing I remember is getting wings and hot dogs at O'Shea's and joking around with the cashier. Can't remember what time we went to bed but I remember waking up around 4ish and getting sick. I was good when I was done, no hangover.
Thursday:
We head to the pool at the Flamingo which was packed, no chairs left whatsoever since people show up at opening to claim a chair and then leave. We left to check out the Go pool which was a far better experience. I sent Larson a text who confirmed we were on the guestlist for Tao that night. Around 10:30, we arrive at Tao. The line wasn't bad but it was starting to accumulate. Walked right up to a bouncer who let us right in without checking the list.
Tao was decent, I liked it a lot. Unfortunately, my friend broke both of her ankles last month and they still we're fully healed. She forgot to take her pain meds right before we left and wearing heals, she couldn't handle the pain anymore. We left just before midnight when it was starting to pick up.
Walked back to the hotel to grab her flipflops and we just ended up gambling the rest of the night. Got to bed around 1:30-2.
Friday:
Once again, spent the day at the Go pool. We didn't care about going to any pool parties since we decided we were just going to take it easy during the day and not drink any alcohol till nighttime.
Since it was my birthday, I opted to go to Batista's behind the hotel. I loved this place. It had a nice ambiance and the unlimited wine made the experience so much better. The old accordian player sang to us which was hilarious. Food wasn't the best italian but it was good. For the price, I highly recommend this place.
I sent a text to Chad Dallas and confirmed our table would be ready for us at Wasted Space. I told him that I would also like to check out Body English for a little bit before hand and he told us he'd put us on the list.
We get to the Hard Rock and gamble a little before going to Body English. Walked up to a bouncer and told him that Chad put us on the list. He couldn't find my name anywhere but he let us go in with free passes. Since we had a bottle at Wasted Space, I didn't want to stay long at BE. We had one drink and left. Next time I go to Vegas, I'd def like to check it out again.
Walk over to Wasted Space and Chad let's us right in. Everyone was so nice to us and our server Becky was the sweetest. She was so excited when we started dancing on the couches against the glass. Met a lot of cool people and got a birthday shout out from the DJ whom I loved. Best DJ I've ever heard who knew how to read the crowd and do mashups properly. I loved Wasted Space and it had to be the highlight of my trip.
We ended up closing the place and when we made it back to the hotel, I ended up losing my friend. About an hour later, she stumbles into the room and tells me she met a group of guys who invited her to Drais. She ordered some dinner but left before it arrived. I told her that was a dick move and went back to sleep.
Saturday:
It's my friend's birthday and she wants to see a show. The choice is between Peepshow and Chippendales. She wants to see half naked men for her birthday so she buys us tickets to Chippendales.
Before taking the shuttle over to the Rio for the show, my friend wants crab legs for dinner. Luckily for us, we get a 10% off coupon on the street for the Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood which happens to have crab legs. Spice Market was great, a lot of good options and variety. They had a seafood station, salad and soup, italian, american, mid eastern, mexican, and of course dessert. Everything was delicious.
Chippendales was chippendales. The ultimate girls night out. That's all I'll say about that.
Next up, the Palms. We walk over from the Rio since my friend wanted to see the Playboy club. I had signed us up on their guestlist via their website which worked out really well. We arrived at 10:30 to a line that was just starting. They let us in no charge and give us an all access pass to all the clubs for that night.
We hang out at the Playboy Club until Moon opens. At the bar, we meet a couple of Mexicans, one who's birthday is also that night. He insists on buying us shots of Patron. I thank him but turn him down since I know we don't want to hang out with them that night. He refuses to take no for an answer so I take the shot. We go over to Moon with our new friends and check out the view. They want to go to the dance floor but since I'm in no mood to have their hands all over me, we tell them we're going to stay outside and proceed to ignore them. They finally get the hint and walk away.
We weren't feeling Moon that much so we decide to check out Rain. Rain was interesting to see but we hate House music so we quickly left. We go over to the pool area to get some pictures and my friend spots the Mexicans. We leave for Ghostbar promptly. I go up to the bouncer for Ghostbar and ask where the all access pass line is. He points to this long line which we had no interest in waiting in so we leave.
My friend is still a little hung over from our night at Wasted Space so we call it a night at this point.
Sunday:
We check out at 11am and go over to Casino Royale where we had $100 in free slots play. From there, we took the Deuce over to Downtown Vegas. We went to each casino and signed up for their players club where we got free slots play and a deck of cards for our birthdays. What better gift from Vegas to give our friends then a free deck of cards? We accumulated several decks. After my friend won $200 at the Downtown casinos and I lost my money, we go back to the hotel for dinner before flying out.
We get back to the strip and sign up for more players cards. Since we had yet to go to Ceasars, we checked that out and stopped at Fat Tuesdays finally. When I asked the guy if I could try the Hurricane, he asked me in all seriousness, "you wanna try my thing?" Thank god I wasn't drunk yet, I politely corrected him and averted embarrassment.
Margaritaville was our dinner choice for our final night. What I remember from Margaritaville was my friend asking the guy on stilts for a balloon hat with a penis and her age on it. So, he makes it for her and makes me a "26" balloon hat minus the penis but with a heart. A few yummy margaritas later, we grab our bags and hop on the shuttle to the airport.
When we arrive, we find out that our flight is delayed by 2 hours and there's no other flights available for us. I'm pissed at myself at this point for not checking up on the flight before we left the strip but in fairness, I was too drunk to know what was going on. The lady does bump us to first class though so we could get off the plane quicker so as to not miss our connection. Too bad it was 1:30am and we were too tired to enjoy the upgrade. We manage to catch our connection by the skin of our teeth and arrived in Baltimore at 9:30am. Made it home to Harrisburg by noon and passed out for the night at 8:30pm.
A successful trip overall and already planning the next one.
