I'm arriving back from a Persian Gulf deployment tomorrow and flying with my GF to Barbados to relax and unwind. On the 21st, we're flying from Barbados, connecting through miami and onward to Las Vegas. This portion of the trip is a surprise for her birthday and another couple will be meeting us there. I have most of the trip planned, but would greatly appreciate any comments and/or suggestions you might have regarding our itinerary.
We will be staying at the Palazzo hotel for that friday, saturday and sunday nights. Because we don't get in till nighttime on friday, I don't expect to rock a club full steam that night. I am anticipating more of a barhop with a lounge or two mixed in, and of course some gambling.
Saturday we have tickets to Phantom at the Venetian and have a limo taking us to dinner afterward at Envy Steakhouse. I have the limo picking us up at 11pm from dinner and have reserved it for two hours of strip touring and champagne. I still have not determined what club we'll be going to. I have only been to Vegas once, with some of my old Orange County buddies and we hit Pure and LAX. I enjoyed Pure but went there on a weeknight (tuesday I think) so i don't know how saturday's compare. I've read enough posts on this site to know the major players in the saturday night club field. Going off reputation only, I'm putting XS at the top of the list with TAO and Tryst on the second tier. TAO, mainly because we'll be staying at the sister hotel and I'd imagine we could find a way in rather easily. While we anticipate spending table reservation type money, I don't want to be tied down to a table or even a club. If we're not feeling that club's scene but have $1500 of bottle service, it's going to be difficult to switch venues.
Sunday, the hope is to wake up in time for one of the many pool parties, lots of gambling, Mystere, and a nice dinner.
My main question is regarding our club plans on Saturday. We are two couples, mid 20's, and while I won't judge my friend myself, the girls are both very attractive. I've considered that it might be easier to get into the club if we can pick up two single girls during our limo ride. I have no problem paying off the bouncer with an exorbitant ransom or using one of these online hosts such as vipnite.com. But I do not want to waste an hour, or even 30 minutes, in line on my girlfriend's birthday. Last time in Vegas at Pure we shot the bouncer a couple hundred and he ushered us right in with covers waived. Any chance of that working at a club like XS?
