Needs some tips for plans Aug19-22

Hey guys, first time posting on JC.com

So im planing a trip ut to vegas formy gf's bday. Its our first time there, but ive been reading up on sites, so I can hopefully plan a fun time. There are gonna be four of us (2 guys 2 girls) checking in on wednesday afternoon and leaving saturday. Staying at the Rio b/c the rooms were big and cheap

Wednesday-
The gf wants a low key bar hopping possibly just hanging out a lounge kind of night, but the thing is we are all on a pretty tight budget being college students and all, so I was wondering if there are any lounges that do bottle service at around 150 a bottle? (Also on guestlist for BE, heard they sometimes do open bars early?)

Thursday-
Wanted to wake up and hit up a pool but not sure which ones will have a good crowd on thursdays, suggestions would be great?
The girls are then probably going shopping while me and my buddy gamble a bit
Meet up later and go to dinner somewhere near the palazzo or Venetian, then line up early to get into TAO. (I heard they do handstamps so that you can come in and out of the club easily, is that true?) Suggestions of a nice restaurant, but around 30 a person would be awesome.

Friday-
Walk around the strip, a couple of fat tuesdays?, dinner and then any ideas on a club that will be fun, but not a total madhouse so you can at least move around?

Any and all suggestions would be great! Thanks guys

First off welcome to the board! Now I'll try and help ya with a few days that I can think of. For Weds go to SpyonVegas.com and most likely they will have an open bar at WS, it wont really be your small lounge cause I believe its their industry night. Thurs everyone here says Tao or Tryst so you can't really go wrong with either one. As far as dinner goes check out the restaurant section, they might have a few places worth checking out. Friday's the JC member thing to do seems to be wristbands for the Palms clubs along with Ditch Fridays. It's $60 plus small fee thru their site, I'm sure someone will post it up for you, but you get your name on the guest list for Ditch which gets you in faster and no cover, then you go by the stuff store at night and pick up a wristband that gets you front of line access to all 4 of the clubs at Palms which are Rain, Ghostbar, and Playboy/Moon. You dont wait in line and you dont pay cover with the wristband deal. Hope that helps!

If you wanted just a regular bar type also on Wednesday night you could hit up Carnival Court

For wed you can get on the list for ghostbar or playboy club at the palms and have a laid back drink with a view.


Go on yelp and look up pre fixe menu's. A lot of nice places are hurting for business and offer set menu's for like $45 each person and you get several courses. I think RM at Mandalay Bay has one and that chef is pretty famous and was awesome on Iron Chef Masters (I really hoped he would win).

You can also check out restaurant.com for dining coupons (use current code "supper" for 50% off and a 10 gift certificate to be sent) I would use it for less fancy places unless your gf is cool with you using a coupon. They have coupons for strip burger!
