  • Any advice for the birthday girl?

    Hi All,
Can I just say, I've loved finding this site! Thanks for all the advice I already found on the forums... and its the perfect thing to read while tapping my fingers counting the days!

I'm coming August 13-14-15 to celebrate my 30th (and yes I did enjoy that thread about cougars, yikes!). Its only my 3rd time to vegas. Will be with the boyfriend, +one other dude, +about 7 girls. Am looking for dancing, not insanely crowded, kinda classy, I'm thinking,

Friday: XS or Tryst, bottle service

Saturday: Palms trio + maybe ghostbar too (sounds like you all think the wristband is a good idea?)

Questions: XS or Tryst? XS looks so pretty, but comments make it sound too crazy to get in? And, is the bottle service significantly more than at other clubs? worth it?

And... if some of my crew don't want to do bottle service, do they have any chance of still getting in to come hang out?

    Any advice appreciated! Thanks much!!

Im going to be there the same time as you for my birthday! Mine is Aug 13!

Anyway areyou going out the 13th? Tryst it super fun that night.

But bottle service is usually the best way to get guys in.

ALSO, you have a lot of girls going so it should be easier to get them in. I would tell a promoter that you have so many girls and only two guys. At the worst the guys will have to pay to get in (plus tip?) but you have A lot of chicks!!!

I wasn't planning to go big on Thursday nite, but maybe thats a good idea! I like the way you think...

Any reason Tryst is fun that nite?

its a popular night and locals go, but its not as crazy to get in as other nights. You should check it out because then you fit more clubs in. Your only going for a few nights so you want to make the most of it!!!

So, are you planning on any daylife?

Sounds like a good idea... I've also been scoping those "all you can drink" deals for Rain, sounds pretty awesome!

Daylife... yes of course - actually my b-day dream was to get a pool cabana. The encore staff totally dicked me so I switched hotels (mandalay), either way now I have no reservation! So that's some more crossed fingers. Any suggestions? What's your daylife plans?

Looks like one of the days of your stay will be a Friday. You can go to either Ditch Fridays (everyone on JC recommends) or Wet Republic which I had some good experiences with.

I will be at ditch fridays with my best friend. You can sign up for the guestlist online and girls get in for free. Also I plan on going to wet republic, tao beach, and Bare on different days. Tao beach probably on Sunday. Wet Republic probably on Saturday.

You can email the names on this site for the guestlist. They were very nice and wrote me back within the same day!!! Tell them you have 8 girls and only 2 guys and they will likely help you out!!!

I was at Mandalay bay a few weeks ago. The pool was SUPER crowded. They wouldnt even give a pregnant lady a seat!!!!

Tao Beach can't really be compared to your typical Vegas pool party. It caters more towards the VIP only. If you have a table reserved there, you will have a great time. Otherwise it could get a little bit frustrating standing in the heat and not being able to use the pool.

                      Tao beach is very small.

however, Ive gone both VIP (will be sunday) and not and I have always found a nice spot in the pool!

Who knows it could be luck, but that's been my experience.

Yea, Ditch Fridays sounds like a good time... is it any fun to go if you don't reserve a spot? Is there room to hang out?

I bet getting a spot would be the most fun. I need to call to see how much a chair or two would cost. I called about cabannas and they were $500 for the space and $1000 food/bev min. So depending on your groups budget that might work. More often than not I don't reserve a space and I always have a good time. You will be there with all your friends so its bound to be fun!!

I will text a promoter when it gets a bit later today to see what the chair rates are for that date. Then I will post back on this site after work.

Unless someone beats me to it!

I heard that the Chairs are first come first serve and are free.

If you're staying at the Palms or Palms Place you can go to the pool before they open for ditch and reserve a chair. That's what I want to do. Hope I get out of bed to do so. Or I might just stay up till 9, reserve the chairs and then go to sleep :-)

sounds like an awesome trip for the "one other dude", i like his odds...

                              link to the cougar thread?

also, for a group your size I think it'd be worth it to look into a cabana
